Xvid codec. Help needed!

I'm trying to watch some episodes of this show I downloaded, and wouldn't you know it, they've encoded it in the ever-popular Xvid codec. Very nice quality.

While, this is nice, it's such a good quality that my PC has trouble keeping up with it, frame-rate wise. I've got Koepi's(Xvid) codec package currently installed on my computer, and I am using Media Player Classic as my player. Is there anything I can do to improve the frame-rate of my movie so that it plays normally? Or am I pretty much screwed(This old lug's got about 128 MBs of Ram on it)?

128MB of ram> i shuddet to think of the CPU in that bad boy... sounds like you need to upgrade..

i assume you tried the good 'ol close everything thats running, 3 fingr salute kill all the unnecessary processes, then play method?

Smells faintly of rancid stilton.
thats one killer machine you got there, I think that might be the problem...what are you trying to watch, maybe it sucks so bad your computer refuses to play it...

Ha, yep, I've tried everything.

Actually, the only thing that I've been able to do is to re-encode the episodes at a lower quality using TMPGenc. Of course, that takes a hell of a long time.

It's an episode from the anime series, "Mohoujin Guru Guru".

It's a pretty funny show, if you're into that sort of thing.
