Majima Goro is boss, that is all.
They need to make a Yakuza game starring only him as he goes about the extremely bizarre adventure ever in Japan.
I also love how in Karoke
selecting Get to the Top, has him lower the volume then start trolling the player with the crazy timings for the inputs XD

Damnit SEGA, don't give doujin creators more ideas!
...and make a Yakuza game starring Majima Goro already!

Part 1, Chapter 3: How do I get to
New Serena with Hana's medicine.? One side has fire blocking it, the other is blocked off. Front door has rubble in the way.

I'm stumped.

Any tips for casinos and gambling hall? Looking to get the diamonds and demon stones.

You COULD try the baccarat spam trick:
Basically, just buy 10,000 chips (which costs 1,000,000 yen) and play baccarat betting on the dealer(supposedly has better odds of wins). If you win, trade in your awarded points for platinum plates (setting aside the original 10,000 chips) and dump them in to your hide out via nearby phone, save and repeat process, exiting the game and reloading when you don't win. Once you have a good amount, sell them to the pawn shop for 150,000 yen a piece (the workshop only offers 120,000 yen in comparison fyi, also if you want the trophy you might want to get about 55+ plates). You can get enough cash this way so all you have to do is buy enough points for said items.

Just finished the game last night. Probably the most heart felt and satisfying ending/credits I've viewed for a game in awhile. I don't think I'm going to be able to handle the unveiling of Yakuza 5. It's DEFINITELY my most wanted game. Playing through Dead Souls continued to solidify the fact that Yakuza is my new favorite series. The way these games conclude always provides such overwhelming feelings of pure happiness. In fact, I think Yazkua Studios is my current favorite dev team (sorry Platinum Games & Falcom, you guys are a close second and third place in my heart). There is just so much love for the world and characters these guys created. I can't get enough of it.

oh yeah, definitely - again remember the main series has optional catchup videos in each game's beginning, and they're thorough too...so you can kinda jump in wherever. I personally recommend 4 though, you'll get caught up on the important bits from 2, plus it's an awesome game and leads right into this one.

Ugh, please Sega. Give the West Black Panther- either of them. I still play that demo on my PSP, without a clue as to what is happening.

Any way to make Hostesses not suck?

I just unlocked Majima's (Saaya) and even at level 10 she has no abilities, her shitty gun can't be upgraded, and so yeah...sucks.

Also gonna have to youtube Majima's karoake vid, because it's impossible for me.

hostesses inherit ALL skills if you have them unlocked from the usual partners. you can choose what gun they use in Kamayama's truck.

i'd recommend using them later after you do the main partner stuff.

i already beat mahjong and the shogi win trophy, just need the EX-HARD, 50 subterannea, and max level

max level in this game takes forever

Hey, what's the quickest way to eat all the food and drink? I can't believe they made us drink every drink at every bar this time. Also only one drink at a time at watami and pronto? Ugh.

Like in the previous titles, I'm pretty sure you can stock up on fishing bait and go to house at the restaurants. For the bar/drinking requirements, go buy those alcohol reducing items from the pharmacy/convenience stores, I forget its name. Make sure to have your inventory slots maxed out before doing this for efficiency purposes.

Also, you can knock out two restaurant lists at once when you take out a Hostess on a date.

like yuterald said, worms (fishing bait man), and legendary drinker of ryukyu.

you can get wasted, take the drinker, and you're good for another 2 drinks.

if it's pronto you can't be full if you are even only drinking, so use the worms and double up on that. eating is a huge chunk of %, and you get an item that improves the function of health items.

you also have to go to pronto at night since the menu changes a bit. if you go on a date, you can eat and drink the whole menu, then go back to the club for more chicken baskets and diarrhea.

why can't i beat the turret section on EX hard? it's like fucking impossible right now.

That bullshit with the truck? That's just it. Its bullshit.

They key is stunning the rock guy and then letting off the trigger so you don't overheat. Always try to kill the molotov throwing zombies as soon as they get on screen or they will kill you. I know its basic common sense, but there's not really any other advice I can give you. :\

Its really poorly designed. Its luck if you manage to complete it without ripping your hair out. Its especially horrible when you start moving really fast near the barrels at the end of it. I can't count the number of times I died there. x_x

im on about 10 deaths from it now, i found a way to stun him a few times in the first part, but the 2nd part, 4 hits and it's over, and i haven't stopped him a single fucking time

i don't know why this is so much harder then dead souls is?

What? Don't tell me worms let you keep eating? Never fucking knew this. Unless I am not understanding.

worms take off some health, making room in your tummy for more noodles and stuff.

i've never done the Haruka EX-SSS thing before. maybe i'll work on it some, an F rank does look like ass

I don't want to give Haruka love, I want to use her as a weapon against the zombies.

So how story Heavy is Dead souls? It is it standard fare, or is it less?

For the overall story, I say it's less than previous Yakuza games just due to it's nature of zombies and the "it's weird". Individual wise and side mission tales though, it's on par.

Fucking Deep Discount DVD. I pre-ordered this shit before it came out and my order still hadn't shipped. Cancelling that order and getting me a copy I can actually play.

Glad to hear all the positive impressions from people who've played other Yakuza games, got a feeling I'm really going to dig this.

word. how you gonna sell me something before it's out, claim its in stock at release, then not even give me a ballpark of when you're gonna get it? fucking horrible.

im way behind on this game too, finally had some off-time and am halfway through Goda's chapter...
a forklift challenge, really?! hahaha...okay, as a shnemue fan, ill take whatever nods i can get, well played

ps quinntendopower and JEKKI are beasts!

I also cancelled by DeepDiscount order when I saw it didnt ship in the first wave.
Disappointing but at least Amazon's price is similar to what DeepDiscount's was

i found the best way to level is just by replaying the game. you can do an entire playthrough in a few hours if you rush, and S ranks near the end of the game are worth big XP.

i'm at 95 now, I tried Akiyama's 1-4 chapter where the infinite zombies rush into the theater, but it takes forever and i have to keep pushing R1 to fire my laser beams.

i should have my platinum tonight! my last trophy will be the 50 subterannea, which is exactly what i wanted last before i hang it up for awhile.

i hope next year we either get a panther, kenzan port, or just straight up Yakuza 5.

i'll have to post a video of a fresh premium new game for you guys, it's hilarious to see how many text messages you get telling you about the bonus items you've unlocked.

for whatever reason i didn't feel compelled to update my youtube video channel, if anyone wants tips for bosses or gameplay stuff i'd make some stuff.

^so, so jelly. i think ill plat this one one day (gonna take a break after playthrough 1 for a bit), and id love to return to 3 and start the arduous grind there, but im still sitting on an import copy of Kenzan! that i gotta do first. i'm thinking i can tie it all up before 5 though, which if it doesnt show up in japan till next year (likely) we won't see for a while anyway.

but seriously quinntendopower, props! thinking about platting binary domain too?

i really want the binary platinum, but it involves a TON of multiplayer, and i'm not really very good at them online. i will VERY rarely win a free for all type game

my final trophy was 50 subterranea levels.

i forgot to bring batteries and i had no light after floor 28. it was a bit nerve wracking at first but even in the dark it's pretty easy.

i wasn't sure how to "quit" out of it, so i just quit out of it and didn't get any rewards or xp. i assume you need to die?

oh well, i'm not trying again anytime soon.
