Your favorite obscure console feature

I think it is a tie.

The two gamecube hidden boot sounds

And the Wiimote speaker.
The speaker would win easily if it was used in more than 3 games, but then again it would not be obscure xD

Still love the sound effects when selecting smash bros players

No need. Is it the music from the Gamepad or the TV? Or both?

So now i have recorded some evidence - and i was a bit mistaken...It´s not in the download music but instead the main menu music (or wara wara plaza music)

For those who missed the discussion. The music in the Wii U wara wara plaza is dynamic...When you have your gamepad lying on a table and it lies still, the music is gentle and calm...Give it a shake and there will be drums and an increase in intensity...This is something i have not seen anybode mention either here on GAF or elsewhere....

The funny thing is, I actually fully noticed this last night after our discussion! You don't even have to shake it, just pick it up. Similarly, in the eShop, the music will cut out after a while and will resume once you pick up the Gamepad.

Well anyway, it´s dynamic and it hasn´t been covered in any media at all from what i can tell....

Discovering the PS3 plays PS1 games. Yes I technically may have been stupid for not knowing this as not saying it loudly on the box meant I didn't know.

A 'WOW' moment followed by a 'SIGH...you idiot' moment.

Nobody mentioned the Black Cat from Wii Photo Channel??

It appears for just a few seconds. If you can click on it, it you give you a hint

It should be a Smash character!

(took this picture from a gaf post who said the Black Cat shouldnt be a Smash character)

So what we're gathering here is that Nintendo put a lot of effort into small, obscure features, while often neglecting the large ones?
