This^^^^^^, so much this.KCD2 is a landmark game and will go down as one of the best games of this generation once all is said and done. I can't see how anyone who has played that can vote for anything else in good conscience.
This is the one major game I haven't played. What other games do you like that are similar to it so I know if we have the same gaming values? This^^^^^^, so much this.
I just made it to Kuttenberg after 80 odd hours. Unbelievable game, runs like a champ on PC too.
Will take a monster of a game to top it.
Imagine a Bethesda game when they were top tier, but without the magic and dragons. This is the one major game I haven't played. What other games do you like that are similar to it so I know if we have the same gaming values?
If we are including remakes and older games, then easily Rise of the Ronin and Xenoblade Chronicles X DE. Just fun to play, straight to the point, little to no pretention.
Assassins Creed felt like hot garbage covered in vomit with a thick coating of diarrhea.

Ah ok. That's what I was thinking. Not for me then unfortunately but explains why many people love it. I imagine people who like something like Skyrim or Fallout would enjoy it then.Imagine a Bethesda game when they were top tier, but without the magic.
Just fucking around in the world is pure joy, then you have a well written story, that's genuinely funny at times. Its not perfect, combat could be better and there is a little jank here and there.
Its a 9.5/10 from me.
Yeah. It's really good as is the general density of the content and the movement with the glider and such. Going from to not being able to just in Shadows was a big no for me.I recently dived back in to rise of the ronin again to wade off any thoughts of getting AC Shadows.
The combat is just sensational.

I might get it again for PC just for comparison purposes, if I can't get it running better than it does on the pro then simple refund on Steam.
Obviously you now have to buy all the games listed and play them before reporting back. This being a thread kind of just opened my eyes, just realized I haven't bought a new game so far in 2025 lol. I literally couldn't have a vote right now! Still optimistic about the future of this year though. A new Ghosts game and hopefully slay the spire 2 to stay on track would be awesome and I can pretty much guarantee they will both easily be in my top 5 by years end
Unlike Bethesda games, KCD is actually well written, with great memorable characters, motivations that make sense, natural sounding dialogue, handcrafted quests with no filler or "radiant quest" nonsense. It is closer to Witcher 3 than Skyrim in that regard.Ah ok. That's what I was thinking. Not for me then unfortunately but explains why many people love it. So far its likely to be delayed, once we see 2nd trailer/ trailer with exact launch date- only then its likely to come out in 2025.The winner is GTA6.
No need to wait for it.
I haven't purchased any games released this year, either. I've been replaying older games mostly. This being a thread kind of just opened my eyes, just realized I haven't bought a new game so far in 2025 lol. I literally couldn't have a vote right now! That's why i likened it to when BGS were actually decent. Not the shite they have churned out recently.Unlike Bethesda games, KCD is actually well written, with great memorable characters, motivations that make sense, natural sounding dialogue, handcrafted quests with no filler or "radiant quest" nonsense. Stick with it, you start massively underpowered.Avowed so far.
Have KCD2 installed and Split Fiction is next.
But honestly, Avowed will be hard to top.
I think KCD2 is great, just the combat, hopefully I can make it fun or bypass it completely. Its kinda unacceptable at the beginning.

Nah, the dates been reconfirmed numerous times already. So far its likely to be delayed, once we see 2nd trailer/ trailer with exact launch date- only then its likely to come out in 2025.
No worries.Stick with it, you start massively underpowered.
Vibe Coding - GOTY 2025 - 2040 (that’s when singularity occursCursor. It lets you make your own games (without coding)
Yeah we only have a few years, best make the best of it. Till then, if you’re creative and like building things, it’s super rewarding. Then let’s just hope we get the “humans are like cats” outcomeVibe Coding - GOTY 2025 - 2040 (that’s when singularity occurs).
Basically once you find someone who can teach you a skill, just repeat train with them as much as possible til you level up a bit. I actually find the sword combat super rewarding now, and combat is usually all I care about in games, it’s fun once you learn master strikeNo worries.
I will give it a complete rundown.
Melee, ranged, stealth, persuasion… something will feel good.
