Must've happened to a few people today if this website is at all accurate.

Not too long ago I PM'd a mod about the 50 PM cap limit for juniors, and if that could be removed. Constantly at 48 PMs and having to delete an old PM every time a receive a new one, gets annoying (also hate losing old memories :p). He said he would check with the higher-ups and get back to me, but that was several months ago so I assume it was to no avail. Anyway, I never knew it was possible to redeem thread privileges via request, anyway. I've been junior'd for at least a year or two now, and I don't think my posting quality ever really took a hit apart from a single thread. Suppose I should try to to PM a mod/admin for a revaluation/review, then? I would love to get those privileges back, not particularly fond of posting a thread through a surrogate. :p Also kills me to see threads on news I read hours/days ago. :lol

That's weird. My account never got off Junior and I have a 999 PM limit as of a month or so ago.

Holy shit!? This must be new, I remember someone telling me they couldn't PM me because of a 'poster has reached maximum PM limit' message they would get, not letting them send. Since then i've kept it below 50, deleting old messages as I go. Who knows when that rule was lifted, i'd gotten so used to deleting to stay under the limit that I didn't even notice it had changed! Wonder if it was due to my request?

Though I wish the mod I PM'd a while back about it had let me know of that development, because now I feel like a total fool for deleting so many old conversations! :lol Oh well, this news is good to know though!

Inception time, Timedog was using Devos account and got it banned and now Devo is using Timedogs account

I was banned last summer, lol I tried logging in a few times to see if I could still at least read threads but I couldn't, so I just logged off and read.

First thing I did was go "huh right before my vacation to San Diego, sorta good timing?"

I just got banned about a month ago. Sitting on my couch, staring at the screen for about 7 seconds. I was too lazy to even clear cookies, I just whipped my phone out and started browsing GAF with the banned screen still on the TV. My girlfriend came in and I said, "look, I got hit with a ban". She said, "that sucks baby. What ya doing now?" I said "reading GAF."

Lulz. GAF is crack.

If you are actually concerned that Devo is using my account, please contact a mod. It would be simple for them to determine if this was going on.

But if you're just a bitter nerd on the internet, carry on.

What is with all the bannings? In every other thread someone seems to have been banned. There have either been a lot or a handful of extremely prolific posters that have been banned.

Check really old GAF threads and you'll find tons and tons of people banned. It's the cycle of life and death, like shedding skin. They are removed, so you can post. One day you too will meet the same fate, and another will take your place.

for now am happy just to post and not create threads..
well maybe to be able to make threads in Off Topic only would be nice lol
