You dare give me this much power? As a first decree, it's hard to pick between
-SEGA gets back into the hardware business, or at least gets funding dedicated toward reviving old franchises (SoR, Vectorman, Shinobi, Comix Zone, Jet Set Radio, Skies of Arcadia, etc.)
-Shenmue Saga, consisting of Shenmue 1 & 2 HD & 3 in a full, complete package.
-SNK gets funding to directly contribute more to fighting games, next game released is either a new Last Blade, Art of Fighting, or Garou game.
-Arcades to be prevalent again in the U.S.
-Nintendo removes region-lock; Amiibo scalpers get scalped.
-Capcom mandated to prove Darkstalkers is NOT DEAD with a new fighter headed up by Ono. Dragon's Dogma gets HD release and confirmed sequel(s). Megaman Legends 3 revived and distributed complete and for free to the populace. The Marvel license is on loan to Capcom whenever they want to use it for fighters. DMC 5 is the sequel to DMC 4, headed by Itsuno. Viewitful Joe given to Platinum. Any resistance will be met with the company being renamed to "Capcpom" (permanently) or "Crapcom" effective immediately, depending on my mood.
-Kojima given the chance to become Konami CEO, or has free reign to make whatever he wants. Konami not allowed to re-enter mobile/pachinko space until they make highly-rated game from all of their franchises (including Hudson Soft games). Silent Hills gets made by approriate people. Metal Gear Rising 2 gets made by Platinum (and same musicians). Any resistance will be met with the company being renamed to "Fuck Konami" effective immediatley.
-Final Fantasy VII Remake, The Last Guardian, and Half Life 3 gets made. Soon. Announced between now and E3 2016 if they already haven't started.
-All ports handled either in-house or with developers who have a good track record. All ports released when all QA issues are met.
-All highly-anticipated games must have previews or demos of a final build available within a month of release.
-Japanese gaming companies are required to maintain 60-70% console/retail efforts if they want to continue doing mobile.
-Retail copies with detailed maunals never go away; GOTY editions required for DLC-heavy or games with troubled releases. Anyone who bought a technical mess of a game at release gets the fixed GOTY edition for free, or a full refund, retail or digital.
-Always-online goes away. Used games never go away.
-F2P and on-disk DLC to be severly limited. Microtransactions are dead.
-Steam and mobile spaces to be heavily curated. Only certain mobile games allowed to appeal to whales.
-All games and versions of games to be preseved. No execptions.
-"Gamers" as a term officially means someone who plays games often enough that it is a hobby to them.
