The Order: 1886 leaks - new gifs, screenshots!

story, the heavy movement, the glorified gore, the blurry textures, the characters, the dialogue, the rambo gameplay that does not require strategy.

edit: welcome back. lol.

Best part was the heavy movement. The rush or blitz cam was the best part. It picks up character momentum rather than just simply watching the character readjust to the camera.

It sounds outright weird, but I hope the weapons are as good as Resistance. You really need to have great gunfire to go with the action. You need a kick ass revolver that one shots (too bad that's been in like every other game that's come out in the last 10 or so years).

I wouldn't question combat right now, it's too soon. There isn't enough evidence to judge the combat in full swing.

Hopefully Sony keeps making new IPs like this and DriveClub. EDIT: Driveclub isn't developed by Sony but you know what I mean.

actually driveclub is developed by evo which is an internal sony studio and this is by rad which isnt (ssm is listed but they are only providing production help which bascially translates to management help as rad has expanded quickly and is taking on a AAA production and is not actually make the game providing tech etc.)

Not that I'm condoning QTEs but if you look at that GIF and compare it to RE6's "every half second a QTE appears and I'm rapidly tapping a button or wiggling a stick" I don't see the big deal. Judging by the interviews and previews, the QTEs offer more variety than what is seen in that GIF;'''

That's why I said, it may be a bit too advantageous. Just clarifying. Sony may have seen the gameplay footage and been so enamoured with it that they basically bought them outright but that isn't how Sony handles 1st party studios (at least not recently)

Sony acquired 3 gaming companies in the span of 3 years, one being a hefty investment. I think they are cooling off on studio purchases for now.

Unless of course, one of our insiders are can tell us otherwise.

Based off one gif?

Actually for me it is based on everything to date that I've heard about the game. It is my impression that the emphasis was on visual quality and having a cinematic feel over gameplay. In addition the devs strictly want to control the narrative. All of that put together means linear corridor shooter. The images shown fit right into those expectations that I've been building about the game. I really hope I'm wrong, but I doubt it.

Edit: Arrrrrgggg...This game has QTEs too.

I see a lot of potential for a "holy cow! Those graphics and physics" moment, but I prefer to reserve my judgement for when the trailer arrives in all its glory!

Sucker Punch, Media Molecule and Gaikai.

And it's debatable that expanding Naughty Dog, Guerilla and Santa Monica probably cost quite a lot too.

Despite the negative financial press that Sony seems to have with everyone, they are still able to acquire studios if they are willing to be sold. Yes, it's true that Sony hasn't made many (if at all) acquisitions of independent developers, but depending on how they see "The Order" playing out, they might want to invest in another. But seeing as how Ready At Dawn value their independence and are also only interested in developing on one platform (the PS4), Sony doesn't need to spend any money in order to maintain their independence. Just like Quantic Dream. So it was advantageous of me to think they would include such news in tomorrows info blowout for ":The Order"

3? I can only think of 2, RaD and Quantic Dream being the two

Ready at Dawn and Quantic Dream are not 1st party, they are 2nd party independent studios (not owned by Sony)

EDIT: Beaten, slowly but carefully

This game is really looking like a system seller. Looks like my original plan to wait until Uncharted 4 to get a PS4 is gonna have to change.

Nothing really new or noteworthy so far, but I guess they show that the game will have good graphics. Hoping for more from the full-on blowout.

I submit this fine example of male grooming for your consideration. Introducing Australian cricket player Merv Hughes.

Lo, a star was born

Now that's a man to be feared on the cricket court.

I imagine there will be a scene where you are chasing a werewolf in human form through back alley ways ....jumping thrugh scaffolding the whole 9 yards in this very tightly enclosed environment only to chase him into a bustling street to get lost in a crowd

You slowly watch him progress back to human form from his werewolf form as the main character chases him through the back alley only to watch him revert completely back to human just as he enters the crowd avoiding detection by mere seconds.

I want this game to be gritty and dark as hell for some reason. Like the entire cast dies one by one throughout the game till no one is left and all sense of hope is lost. I want the player to feel like shit at the end of the game for some reason but in a meaningful way. I want it to be heavy as fuck.

I am holding judgment till I see more gameplay but if all gameplay really looks as good as that gif then hot damn that will be one impressive looking game. This is one of the games that makes me very glad I went with PS4 for my first console this gen over the XBO. The more I see the more I like but I think tomorrows gameplay trailer will be the deciding factor if I go into full blown hype mode or think meh it is only just nice graphics.
