The Order: 1886 leaks - new gifs, screenshots!

This looks freaking beautiful can't wait for the footage tomorrow. Sucks that I will be in class on my shitty tablet computer seeing your guys comments on neogaf before I see the video.
 
Very nice characters and lighting. Some of the environments would benefit from some better texturing or tessellation though. Will wait for 1080p footage before I can decide if it is truly impressive or not.
 
holy shit this game looks awesome! definitely looks like this is going to be the first game to really set the next-gen graphical benchmark. can't wait to see more!


ps: with infamous so close and now this, i feel like the ps4 magic is finally so damn real. exciting stuff!
 
Can't tell one way or another since they're pretty dark. But I hope there's a lot of enemy variety and ways of dispatching them instead of the usual hide behind cover TPS.

Well they are fighting the super natural so I assume most enemies arent going to be Uncharted shoot bang
 
Hmm. First thought: Game looks good. Second thought: Images are blurry and don't really showcase the crispness of the graphics. Third thought: Quick time events? Darn. Fourth thought: I like the over-the-back camera angle. Looks like it will be intense.

Well that is kind of what I am getting at.

I just can't see them releasing this by itself as their big Holiday release.

They need other big titles to supplement their lineup.
 
Judging by Thuway's post, I was almost sure that not only would there be an info blowout but also news of Sony acquiring Ready At Dawn but that might be too advantageous. They could have pitched the idea to EA, Microsoft, Activision, etc. but they stuck with Sony because of their relationship as a second party developer and they prefer focusing on one platform.

How anyone can take 2 seconds of a GIF and defer to "typical shooter" is beyond my comprehension. Let's wait till we have the info blowout to at least critique the game's presentation.

The only offputting thing I see in this game thus far is the dreaded appearance of ::GASP:: Quick Time Events.

Everything looks great except those bricks/walls textures in the third shot. Animations are great. I want to see them soft body physics!

Hate to be that guy, but unless you guys make an official contest/campaign and its posted as news, we get touchy when official guys suggested thread topics.

I'm still not sure what to think about this game, it looks good tho. I will keep this one on the radar as more info for this game comes out to get me pumped.

Yeah I remember them saying something along the lines of them valuing their independence. To each their own, but it did feel like they felt it was an integral part of how they work. In that video, both Andrea and Ru came off as guys who care a lot about what they do, really amped for what they have in store for us!

This gif is blowing my mind. I remember thinking it would be a couple years before I saw a game that blew away Killzone: Shadow Fall's visuals and here we are with The Order.

Yeah Sony should try and sign an X amount of games deal like they do with indies....although I imagine most of their funding has got to be coming from Sony, cant build an elaborate video capture studio on indie spirit

Hopefully they don't end upnlike Insomniac, who themselves should allow Sony to purchase. Sony should just go ahead and snatch up all the talent and go on a buying spree, just buy Insomniac, Ready at Dawn, Quantic Dream, thatgamecompany and Housemarque and just create the best library of games fucking ever! Oh and revive Liverpool and Incognito. Gotta stop dreaming
 
Game looks amazing! watch how the cloth reacts to the recoil of the weapon, it looks really natural. Also it looks really really clean on the IQ side. (no final judgement though, haven't seen very much.)

Yeah, I pretty much figured the same thing. They talked about moving into their new building which didn't look cheap. So yeah, a lot of that funding probably came from Sony.

Not that I'm condoning QTEs but if you look at that GIF and compare it to RE6's "every half second a QTE appears and I'm rapidly tapping a button or wiggling a stick" I don't see the big deal. Judging by the interviews and previews, the QTEs offer more variety than what is seen in that GIF;'''

That's why I said, it may be a bit too advantageous. Just clarifying. Sony may have seen the gameplay footage and been so enamoured with it that they basically bought them outright but that isn't how Sony handles 1st party studios (at least not recently)

But yeah, that would be a great idea, but I am asian. I'd join a contest for most epic looking strands of facial hair.
