What are you trying to say?
This.
Anyhow, Wylla is Jon's mum. It is known.
No, it is not. George R R Martin said that Jon's parents will be revealed in Winds of Winter.
There's no reason not to take it at face value, at least in regard to having a milk mother. If we are to believe Jon is Lyanna's child the obvious question becomes "how did Ned feed an infant during a horse ride from the Tower of Joy to Starfall." If Lyanna was pregnant she no doubt had a handmaiden (one or more), which is where Wylla must have come in.
Then there's the issue of Ashara jumping out the window. Did she do it due to Ned killing her brother? Or...did she do it because Ned told her the infant was his, thus causing love ridden Ashara Dayne to kill herself in grief?
I really hate cat. I'm still salty that shes still alive (kinda).
Its mostly the way she treats Jon. I mean I can understand that hes a living symbol of Ned cheating on her (even though he probably didn't), but its not his fault. Its like she places the blame on Jon instead of Ned. He was trying to say goodbye to Bran in the first season and Cat is just like get the F out of here scum. Wtf is wrong with her.
Do think it's possible they will actually film parts of the the two seasons concurrently? With the younger actors aging, it might make sense. LIke they could flim the majority of Bran's scenes for both seasons.
That could possibly be why they asked for a two season renewel.
Hasn't it already been said the Martin has told the show folks how things end? In broad strokes anyway. So they are capable of finishing the TV show without the books.
Whelp see you in 4 or so years.
So, I'm reading the first few chapters of book 1, and damn it's so different from the German version. German is such a clunky language lol.
Also, interesting tidbit, the German translation split the books into several ones. Like, AGOT is actually 2 books in German.
Did not know they were in editing phase...that is great news. Not quite. George R R martin said that he has finished writing the winds of winter. They are editing it now which can take a while and this started a couple of month ago.
Remember the AFOC and ADWD was written as one book but was edited into two. That is why the events in both books are occuring at the same time.

Yeah, all things totaled David and Dan work on a season for 11 and a half months. There simply isn't time to add more filming in the same year.I doubt it. The producers have said that 10 episodes per season is the most they can do. I know that you are only talking about filming, but I have to imagine the extra work involved to do even that would strain their resources too much.
Besides, Bran will be a tree soon, so I don't think anyone is worried about Isaac looking too old.![]()
Cornballer posting the warning after every page.
Such dedication.
I still can't believe how people don't realize this is the unmarked spoilers thread. It's in CAPS in the damn thread title and there are HUGE RED LETTERS AT THE TOP OF EACH PAGE INFORMING PEOPLE THIS IS THE UNMARKED SPOILERS THREAD.
I know it's a bit rant-ish, but you really can't complain when there's little margin for error.

In that guys defence, the top post saying 'BOOK SPOILERS' also says 'Jon Snow is dead'.

Guys, let's just pretend that TWOW is finished and see how good it feels.
Jaqen did have the colour treatment but it was very subtle. I'm glad they don't use flamboyant blue hair either though. What might be interesting on paper can look goofy on screen.I doubt griff will have blue hair, since they didnt give jaqen and daario the color hair treatment either
I think I missed something... what happened? The fuck is Green Coffee?
He's said no such thing yet, he just talked about the manuscript and what he expected the unedited length to be. There was a lot more to AFfC and ADWD being made into two books than just editing, there wouldn't have been a six year gap between the two. The big issue IIRC was the whole "Meereenese Knot" business along with a lot of rewriting.

Yeah, I think you are correct. I must have misunderstood or was just very hopeful. But I thought he said that it was content completed with some rewriting and editing being needed.
LOLI want to come back to this avatar

Hahahahaha ouch. Well played. At least they're consistent in their devotion to not reading.

However Martin had a BBC interview today where he said he was "well into TWOW; can't link now.
Summer or fall 2015, imo.
That was never confirmed, and Martin and Elio confirmed a couple weeks ago that TWOW was not finished. However Martin had a BBC interview today where he said he was "well into TWOW; can't link now.
Also his publisher was telling bloggers at Comic Con last year that 2015 is the window for TWOW. I'd be very surprised if it doesn't come out next year. His schedule is empty for most of the early months, and there's really no time for him to miss this deadline. TWOW content could presumably be in next season (Bran).

ASOS and ADWD were both split in two for their paperback releases in the UK. Although I'm sure your instance was to do with getting a translation out in a timely manner, whereas ours was mainly that publishers like money.
He keeps saying that he has a manuscript of 1000 or more pages. If this is true then he is editing it.
Reposting this in case some people want to do some extrapolating:
Thanks. I was looking for your post earlier, but I couldn't find it:I actually posted some extrapolating earlier in the thread. I think at the current rate, TWOW needs to be ready by season 7, but I would hope it be ready much earlier.
Just for fun I expanded that chart (roughly, I just copy pasted Storm) with AFFC and ADWD added and by drawing a line of best fit through the points found that at the current rate they're progressing through the story TWOW will start almost exactly with the first episode of season 7. I think it's more likely to be half of season 6 and all of season 7, but you never know. Plus, some stories have been moved really far forward (Bran).
At least they're consistent in their devotion to not reading.

Season 4 is the end of 3 and a lot of books 4 and 5 will be lumped in. There is no way they make it through season 5 and 6 on just books 4 and 5. I don't think there is enough good material to justify it.

I agree. We will start seeing Winds material by season 6.
