I played the first one Behind Enemy Lines and the second one Destination Berlin. It was the biggest timesink ever. The production values of the games was pretty good. The games dripped with WW2 atmosphere, and had a very Hollywood feel to it which I loved. The payoff satisfaction you get after completing a mission is only rivaled by Demon's/Dark Souls series. You control a group of Commandos: a Green Beret with stealth killing skills, a Sapper (demolition expert), a Marine (expert with water movement), Spy with sneaking skills and Driver for driving missions. You control your team in real time, hide in bushes waiting for the right time to attack. A single level can take hours to finish and requires perfect execution. Here's a gameplay bit from the first game (my favorite).
Like I said, the game oozes atmosphere. It felt you were smack dab in the middle of the war. I miss these games. Is there anything comparable out there on the market? Can we see a triumphant return of the series in the near future?
