this is a concerning recurring trend with that dude
Rape, incest, domestic abuse - he's way into it.
Old Man Logan's genuinely pretty decent though.
this is a concerning recurring trend with that dude
You should probably be having words with Mark Millar then.
In Old Man Logan, the Hulk Gang are the inbred redneck children of Hulk and She-Hulk.
People who have watched Teen Titans and Teen Titans Go?how many people have heard of Cyborg?
Link?
Except that Hulk and She-Hulk are cousins so she wasn't created to give Hulk someone to fuck, but OK, David.
how many people have heard of Cyborg?
He called Martian Manhunter too obscure for a general audience a few days after a Guardians of the Galaxy trailer came out.
Two shitty writers having the same shitty opinions and making money out of them. There's a place for everyone in the world and that's fine. You should probably be having words with Mark Millar then.

I mean, I'm not a woman, but I always thought She-Hulk seemed like a pretty good female power fantasy by the standards of the Big 2. Strong, confident, assertive. His comments about the Hulk shagging her doesn't really make sense either (besides her being Bruce's cousin), she's pretty liberal sexually, no?
Yeah She Hulk is a strong female and Bruce's cousing. Strong, confident, assertive and such.
She's also career driven.
Goyer sounds like an idiot. Now a lot of things make sense.
Dude clearly doesn't know a damn thing about my Shulkie.
She's obviously designed to be sexually appealing to the typical male reader but she's soooooo much more than that. And dude, she pretty much sleeps with everyone BUT Hulk.
How many people heard of Hawkeye or Black Widow, or even Thor before the Avengers movies? Or Scarlet Witch, or Quicksilver, or Vision, or Black Panther, or Ms. Marvel/Captain Marvel, or Dr. Strange, or Ant-Man?
It's such a fucking stupid mentality that "no one has heard of them, therefore we can't make a movie with them." It's some eye-roll worthy bullshit, and the fact that this guy worked on the Nolan Batman movies is just... ugh.

the one he read the script to. Who thought capes were too ..just watch the video
Nah it was this guy.

Cousins are not off limits to some people.Except that Hulk and She-Hulk are cousins so she wasn't created to give Hulk someone to fuck, but OK, David.
How many people have heard 90% of comic Super-heroes in the first place?
and it's the same thing with Martian Manhunter and Justice League/Unlimited. you can't call one of these guys too obscure and then turn around and put the other guy in a movie.
Comic book fans seem desensitized to horrible tropes like making a woman version of a popular character, or a young version. None of them should exist unless it's actually going to tell a good story.
She-Hulk shouldn't exist anywhere ever.
Cousins are not off limits to some people.
Guy is an asshole. But...Except that Hulk and She-Hulk are cousins so she wasn't created to give Hulk someone to fuck, but OK, David.
Goyer probably hates the comic book nerd he used to be and the dude he grew up to be.Goyer really dislikes the rest of the DC Universe I assume.and Comic nerds
You should probably be having words with Mark Millar then.

I don't see the big deal. In the first quote, he's just stating that Martian Manhunter, compared to Batman or Superman, is relatively unknown to the mainstream. That's just... uh, the truth. There's nothing outrageous about that statement.
And the second quote was phrased very poorly, since we all know She-Hulk does not engage in incest with the Hulk. But the basic gist of Goyer's sentiment is perfectly valid. She-Hulk... was probably designed to titillate and feed into a male fantasy. I mean, I don't know how you can deny that. There's a reason she's designed the way she is from a physical appearance perspective. She doesn't resemble a brutish Frankenstein-like monster the way the Hulk does. She's curvy and shapely and perfectly appealing to a young male reader. Goyer's not really going off on a limb here.
So I don't really understand the outrage here. If you were at a bar with some buddies, and happened to engage in a spirited conversation about superheroes, and one of them made these two statements... you'd probably think nothing of it and go along with him/her. But because Goyer just happens to have directed a terrible movie (Blade Trinity) and written a pretty bad Superman script (Man of Steel), it's apparently enough for a public lynching.
And really... getting upset at his joke about not getting laid? The truly shocking thing to me about this is not him making the joke in front of an audience... it's the fact that comic book fans are still so incredibly thin-skinned and defensive about something that's been beaten down long ago and become virtually enshrined as an artifact of geekdom. The only reason Goyer makes the joke is because he considers himself a geek as well. This sorta thing is so beyond offense at this point.
I know it's cliched to constantly rag on about how much better Marvel handle their movies than DC but...
That first quote just sums it up. "Lol only virgins have heard of Martian Manhunter, why would we make a movie about him" vs. "We're making a movie about a talking raccoon. Deal with it".
This is why DC has two successful movie franchises, and Marvel has Spider-man, X-Men (well, not theirs but still), Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, The Avengers, and to a lesser degree Hulk, Fantastic Four and Ghost Rider. And they're still making news ones like GotG, Ant-Man, Dr. Strange...
I've never really heard of Martian Manhunter.
Can't you say the same thing about Martian manhunter ? With JL and JLU.
Warner Bros gonna Warner Bros.and it's the same thing with Martian Manhunter and Justice League/Unlimited. you can't call one of these guys too obscure and then turn around and put the other guy in a movie.
Goyer said:I would set it up like The Day After Tomorrow. We discover one of those Earth-like planets So maybe like we get the DNA code from that planet and then grow him in a petri dish here Hes like in Area 51 or something and were just basically doing biopsies on him. Then he gets out and hes really angry and he fucks She-Hulk.

You need to watch Justice League/Justice League Unlimited.
