I saw this same page.
I never bought direct from the eShop - I downloaded through redeeming a code purchased from GAME.co.uk
The screen is in the redeeming process.
Hmm not sure which game to get.
I have NSMBU, WWHD and 101.
Borrowed Pikmin 3 and never really got past the first 30 min or so, didn't really grab me.
What say ye GAF;
Nintendo Land (does it work with pro controller because that's all I have?)

Sonic Lost world
Wii Party U
or the one I'm most interested in MH3U, looks like it would be something in the vein of a 'souls' game.

Monster Hunter. I love Nintendoland, but it does need Wii Remotes for multiplayer. Same with Wii Party U.
Monster Hunter has a demo if you want to try it first.

Okay, question. If I got the promo code for one of the games, would that code have an expiration date, or can I hold onto it?
Only the eShop charts, possibly. No charts include digital sales, unfortunately.
End of September the T&C's for the UK say.

Nintendoland is awesome especially the metroid game but you'll need a 'mote and chuck to get the most out of it. Pikmin does take a while to "kick in" so I'd still recommend that.
Should be, it says they can be redeemed to any PAL Wii U.

Which code? The Club Nintendo, or the free game download?
If it's the Club Nintendo one, check your CN account history as the NNID link may have already registered it for you.

The eShop charts sure. But sales charts, well the only chart to track digital sales are the Japanese ones (even then I think it is a separate chart) and they don't get a free game as such but a free month trial of a game.
NOA quote digital sales when they do press releases but given how these give no DDP it makes me wonder if they are flagged not to count (note NNP is not clear yet).
Yes, sometime in September. This is outlined in the terms and conditions.
I go to the eShop on my WiiU, I check the reciept. It shows a code. It tells me this is the PIN. I enter on the Club Nintendo website after logging in. It states the code has already been registered.
I have not seen an option that lets me pick a game.
Club Nintendo does not show Mario Kart 8 as being registered on my account.

Hm, contact Nintendo then I'd guess. For me, I've not entered a pin, but it's under the history of My Account ready for me to take a survey. (Click My Account, then My Registered Games & Systems)
Is there a pop up for choosing your free game after you do the survey?
Not sure yet, I don't believe it's live in the UK for another 10 minutes or so, so I'll hopefully let you know soon.
The buy 3 get 1 free 3DS promotion had a banner on the front page after registering to click and claim the download.

Hmm, need to decide between NSMBU and Monster Hunter. How's the MH community for randomly finding team ups? Would like to get into multiplayer (played a bit of Unite on the Vita, bit could only play singleplayer).
If you go the banner on the home page there is a box that says "claim free game" this has appeared for I right now. So I guess my game has registered regardless

Excellent! Nintendo really should put "If you have your NNID and Club Nintendo linked, you do not need this PIN" in big writing on the receipt.

I appreciate the fact that they're doing this, but they couldn't have made it any more cumbersome...
The process takes less than 2 minutes from what i read.
I registered my game yesterday on the UK Club Nintendo site and today when I logged in a banner had appeared letting me claim my free game.
It does say it should appear "up to 48 hours later", so I'll just try again later. Cheers.

July 31st is the deadline for registering Mario Kart 8, not the day the download code gets sent out.
Ditto. Just grabbed my code for Sonic.

Hmmm...no code for me. Did the survey 20 minutes ago.
Got my code, downloaded Game & Wario. It was very fast, though I did have to do some data management. Just deleted a few patches for third party games I'm unlikely to touch any time soon.
When I did the survey, the code was on Nintendo's site on the page right afterwards. I didn't have to wait for an e-mail. If you're waiting for an e-mail, it said it can take up to 48 hours.

It does say wait 48 hours. People who registered yesterday are getting their codes today though, so hopefully we shouldn't have to wait that long.
Nintendo Scandinavia has it such that you register, but you'll get to download the game first at the end of August "when all the codes have been checked"
So, haha, no three months.

But you can only register since 10AM this morning...
The 48h is probably just for people to avoid spamming the website with F5s if the code doesn't appear the second the survey is completed.
