I hope they can ride the momentum that 4 last episode of S1 build, that was magical.

Aikatsu! 85
Aikatsu presents a somewhat more yuri-filled take on Aladdin. The version of the story Sora told seemed more influenced by the Disney version if anything, and the version Sora and Ran acted in used the limited cast for a story where the genie was evil and Aladdin was a girl. Also where the princess wishes to fight alongside him. Revisionism in fairy tales is a growing trend these days. Johnny was fun to watch as the genie, and seeing the Beautiful Blade actually get a chance to do some swordplay was nice. (Otome, I don't think you're cut out for sword fighting.)

Beyond that, there's not much to say. There was some decent action (I liked the sound design during the brief sequence with the vacuum), a good exploration of Abh thinking compared to human thinking, and a demonstration of decision-making in the sudden absence of the existing authority. Some of it was cool, but I'm just glad this whole arc is over.
I just want to see what's going to happen when Lafiel and Jinto intersect with the actual war plot that sent them off in this shuttle in the first place. The episode preview teaser definitely has me interested.

She missed the mark a bit, but the episode does make me wonder if Chino's going to reveal that Tippy is her grandpa to her friends before the season's over. It would certainly open up more comedic possibilities.

What a massive retcon. They were supposed to be so scrubby it wasn't even worth having an episode dedicated to the battle!
For me at least, a good slice-of-life/moe anime needs more than that. They need to be either funny or relaxed, though both are fine. They shouldn't involve a big, overarching plot, and there shouldn't be any unnecessary drama. If there is drama involved, it shouldn't completely take over the show by the end of it; the show should still try and keep its tone intact throughout. The characters should be distinct, charming, and memorable. The more colors involved, the better!
To me, it's things like this that separate your K-ON's from your Soul Eater Not's.

It's an odd point in the show too. The show hypes them up as being pretty capable before skipping them.
See gochiusa for a supreme example of a good moe anime. Also, Kinmoza foots the bill.

I marathoner acchi kochi because it was charming, funny, super relaxed and admittedly I didn't completely hate the cute shit. But mainly because it dealt with cheesy romance, same as with ore monogatari (gonna keep promoting this until everybody here reads it).

Yeah, I'm really enjoying GochiUsa this season, and I loved Kiniro Mosaic too. Had a great last episode!
Ikoku Meiro is also great. Has a bit more of a focus on story than others though, so it's not a "slice-of-life" in the same vein as the other titles mentioned. Still very good, though.

Eh? I'm not a big fan of Sakura either but how is she a spawn of Satan exactly? I don't recall any heinous moments from her coming from her own volition during Fate/Zero.

Sakura suffers from Anime writing of strong female character syndrome. And like with all female characters the author wants us to empathize the author does a certain thing.

This episode sadly is a step down from the excellence we have been experiencing as the Sanada-Tsukimoto encounter was lacking in drive and tension as Smile is really becoming a Boring Invincible Hero as well as looking flat and one note next to, well, everybody really but especially the Kaio Academy members who in spite of their domination and prowess actually come across as human and three dimensional with actual goals, hope and dreams and thus far more interesting then the blank slate that is Tsukimoto.

Now things are starting to make sense. Yun knows things, Ikusaba wants those things. That shot at the end of the episode suggesting that
also raises a few questions. She obviously knows what her own treasures are, but my first assumption when she said that she doesn't want Jugo to use the treasure was that it was something super dangerous, not that it was something that would allow her to pass on. She's bound to the room, so I don't think she's gone for long. Having this be a matter of time does up the stakes nicely.
