The Order: 1886 | The Evolution of the Half-Breeds

It almost sounded like they were saying you get to turn into a Lycan... That'd be cool.

Otherwise this game seems entirely dull. I wish their demo hadn't been an on-rails shooter. Maybe I'd be more excited for it if I knew there was actually more of a game to it.

If the whole game is just lycan/werewolves...my interest in this game has dropped SO FAR off the radar.

Opposite.. werewolves have increased my interest.

Now the game doesn't sound like another cover shooter, but this one is set in Victorian england.

Makes the gameplay more interesting than shooting dudes behind cover.

Looks very promising. I like the fact that the lycan retained his intelligence and wasn't just some mindless hound.Hopefully we'll see a lot of variations when it come to the half-breeds as well.

I'm looking forward to seeing how they react/attack/transform in open game-play. Combat was far too scripted in that section to make a judgement on their AI etc.

What happens when the werewolves start sporting guns?

I agree. The enemies should offer some variety, between humans and werewolves, etc.

The ONLY thing that has me worried about this game is how often they're going to take control away from the player. There was an awful lot of that going on in recent videos, and it would kind of suck if that happens throughout the game with such frequency.

Unfortunate choice of word to describe werewolves, but oh well... I guess it's too late for that to be changed at this point. Still, for such a heavy focus on narrative, it's strange no-one thought to maybe bring up the fact that using half-breed to describe the sub-human enemies in game could be problematic...

I don't think they are very believable when they transform in real time, that is something that just can't happen. A bone and muscle structure can't just say "hey, now we will get totally rearranged in 10 seconds." that is just stupid.

Looks so soooo good. Creature design is god tier. Sad face at US Collectors Edition shown at the end of that trailer. Why no EU love with those figurines RAD?

Yeah, werewolves in real life are nothing like that.

How dare you say werewolves can't exist.

Just realized how badly executed that whole cutscene with Galahad thrown through the glass is.

The half-breed takes ages to enter the room after, then when he does, he sniffs the patch of blood and says he knows the guy is in there? Well no shit, you just threw him in there, lol.

My biggest concern before and after the reveal was dialogue. If that scene isn't missing a section AFTER he's thrown through the window, then that is ridiculous, I agree.

I am not making a comparison to something that doesn't exist. I am just saying that they said that they want to make them believable, which this definitely isn't.

Definitely not like that. This is as crazy as accepting pokémon evolutions.

But pretty much every incarnation of werewolves I've ever seen take on a sudden, quick transformation. That's how werewolves do.

But damn, don't you understand what I am trying to say ? I am trying to say that they said "make them look real". Well then, if something turns into a monster in a couple of seconds then it just CAN'T look real, something like that doesn't make sense from a biological view.

How does fiction work?

They said they want to make them look like they could actually exist outside of fiction.

I tought they were half breeds not full ware wolf. I am hyped but won't is really doing a terrible job marketing it

And they do look like something that could exist. Them transforming quickly doesn't change the way they look. And it's a videogame. It wouldn't be much fun sitting around for an hour waiting for them to transform.

I thought the same thing, it doesn't make any since, and it doesn't make it suspenseful.

I am not saying they should take an hour (even that is beyond stupid), they should just be always monster like.

Well then I guess they failed at what they said they wanted to do. But I'm intrigued now, what is your solution to make them real?

You should probably email the devs before it's too late, I bet they haven't thought about that being impossible in real life.

Great video. I absolutely love their designs. They straddle the delicate line between familiarity and alien very very well. Gives the creatures a disturbing presence.

Because he couldn't have ran out of the room, right?

really hope victorian england is this gen's high fantasy

lolol wat

Was the stage demo uploaded in high quality anywhere? That cloth ripping deserves a gif.

Watching it live I was saying to myself, I wish Psycho Break looked this good, I hope RE7 looks this good and, that's a nice nod to the RE1 zombie head turn.
