Will the stream work on the Wii U browser? It is supposed to be just for Safari, but since if I remember correctly, the Wii U browser is webkit based, I thought it might work (or at least, the user agent can be changed to make the web believe it is an iOS device...).

I don't think ram has big of an impact compared to the screen/resolution and efficiency of the radios. I don't think it's even close, lol...

but this is a company that finely tunes every single aspect of their hardware. Not like other companies who just take what they can grab and shove it into a phone. Everything is precisely what it is for a reason. I'd love more RAM too but it's iOS, I just don't think it's a big deal. More of a want than a deal breaker/big deal.

Apple has absolutely done video streams and count downs before, this is not new at all.

And why is it that when Apple does it's considered over the top and crappy, but when anyone else does it it's fine?

I never even came close to suggesting it's "over the top and crappy", I think it's fine, I'm simply wondering why they are helping drive the hype that's already through the roof even further. They must be extremely confident that they'll deliver.

As for live streams, I know they often do them but I didn't refer to that, I referred to live blogging with photos and tweets from execs on their website. If they've done that and redirected their main homepage to a countdown for previous events, you'll have to enlighten me because I've never seen that before from them.
