Okay you still will need your wallet for plenty of things though.

Your drivers license, BJ's/Costco card, places that don't accept credit under a minimum, etc...

Credit cards are actually really bad. It's not really a joke and it is something that's in dire need of repair. But then again nobody is going to depend on iPhone specific payments either so they will remain

Cool, Apple Pay will be the new standard for

oh right

Seriously, I have a debit card that does this RIGHT NOW. I'm pretty sure my S4 does too.

Used my card in Subway and Co-Op just today.

I'm intrigued at ApplePay. But will probably never see it in the wild for a while. Will it be a standard that everyone can use? (Even if they call it something else like FireWire vs. iLink?)

It's 2014 you can tap your credit card and pay without a PIN or signature for small purchases

And only a few places still have to swipe the card......unless you are in the US

How can these people actually stand there and claim this shit is more secure than a credit card?

...because credit cards are horrible? Dunno if NFC is the solution, but with Apple pushing it now too I imagine it's going to get far more common.

So... this is literally the same thing we have in Canada for NFC phones?

lmao @ everyone screaming and clapping when Tim just says "Apple Pay" with no explanation.
