Are you saying Suros isn't worth slotting? Because fully upgraded its a beast, regardless of what people may think of the slow RoF.

Its worth slotting until a more "unique" exotic comes around. Like an IceBreaker or an Gjallahorn.

There are plenty of AR's that are as good as Suros. But no other snipers regen ammo.

Is there anyone really like to spend 4-5 days to only unlock exotic ability on exotic weapon ?

Some exotic weapons have very bad stat. I feel pain that I have to use it for a few days before I can unlock ability and feel better with it.

Anyone got a spot for normal vault raid tonight? Would like to to pop my raid cherry now :) 27 warlock from UK and have a mic - psn: Super_Stew

Dear god yes, I was complaining about this the other day. Upgrading it hurts it so much in PvP it's not even funny.

As long as you can consistently headshot the upgrade didn't bother me much. It does have a slower dps with the upgrade though. Since I got the suros my average kd has doubled in crucible.

upgraded SUROS = more kills per mag (4-5 kills), more precise, more stable, less margin for error
stock SUROS = less kills per mag (2-3), less precise, less stable, more margin for error

Broke the R1 on my DS4 by meleeing people, had to send it back to my supplier for FOC replacement. White DS4 arrived earlier also.

I ended up pulling the rubber cover off the left analog stick from constantly pushing it in and forward to run. My L1 is getting janky too from running the relic on so many raids and doing the cleanse/bubble shield.

I do love the DS4 but the build quality and battery life leave a little something to be desired.

I found out last night my Suros Regime kills oracles better than the Atheon's Epilogue with the oracle dmg bonus, with ammo to spare.

stock SUROS = less kills per mag (2), less precise, less stable, more margin for error

This exactly. I realized last night that during 5 matches of PvP I never once pulled out my secondary weapon, That thing was just so available for what I needed that it just wasn't necessary.

They should have the Ghost of Kabr show up in the tower randomly to sell raid gear.

Honestly as frustrating as it is that raid gear drops are random, I'd rather it be the way it is rather than go the Xur route where everyone who scrounges up currency can get it

I've this since Launch and since Diablo 3 has taken all my time, now that the patch is finally in here I go, time to jump into Destiny.

I've got a lvl 4 Hunter and Warlock, thinking of going the Warlock route as it's more interesting to me. Which one is more viable? Or is it a 'choose what you like' scenario?

I actually do enjoy it, but you don't have to. Just equip it before turning in engrams and bounties and let it level up that way.

Feels strange running around with like 9 (technically 10) exotics, while many others are scrapping to get even a legendary. Good thing the game mechanics are entertaining for many otherwise I think people would be done with this.

On a more important note, how does the aggro in this game work? It seems very weird sometimes. Sometimes the bosses will be obsessed with a person to their own detriment, to where I can just unload on them, other times they will behave more natural and reposition to start firing at me when I'm attacking for only a few seconds.

Just keep them in your inventory, not equipped. Whenever you are about to turn in your bounties, switch them on. You don't have to "use" them to level them up.

I honestly don't know, just saying I asked the same question a few OT's ago and was told yes they do count and I've seen the question asked many times as well and the answer was always yes too.

Ah I see. No worries.

I read from the start that the only things which carry over to PVP are your unlocked abilities, weapon special abilities and weapon stats such as ROF and stability etc but not weapon damage.

All damage and armor stats (not including buffs) are normalized. That's why many people still play PVP with a low level Shingen-c or equivalent and can still compete.

Anything is better than the way it is. I would say keep it exclusive to raids, but you should get a guaranteed piece.

You CAN'T level up without it and it's completely random. You could get all 3 pieces you need in 1 run or 0 pieces in 100 runs. If it's a requirement to level up, there should be a guaranteed way of accessing it... even if it means beating the hardest content.

I think shadow price does it best, fully upgraded, and fast.

Also found out in the raid yesterday that my Light/Beware fusion rifle with armor piercing rounds enabled kills Oracles in one shot (blast)

An idea for hard mode raiders who are in full level 29 groups:

For the gatekeeper portion, why not have two people go in one of the portals and get the relic. They both come out. The relic holder goes to the conflux with one person while two others stay to keep the second portal open. The remaining two go into the second portal to get that relic, and the fireteam proceeds to finish this phase.

How does this sound?

This is literally the best idea I've read. Holy shit. As someone that has done the raid 3 times but still has 0 raid gear... I'd be very pleased. Make it expensive though.

I like the idea, but unless the price to buy the raid gear was high, we'd have levels 30s running around all over the place

But yeah I agree a guarunteed piece each raid would be ideal

My quest for exotic. First the game tells me to win 5 strikes without dying. Took me 3 hrs of ridiculous repetition but I got it done. Was expecting a reward only to be told to get a kill/death ratio of 25 in Crucible.

Bungie, are you mad?

You need cleansing in the second portal.

Yeah, as I said we're on the final boss of the Raid and Im the only one in the party who has scored two different pieces of Raid gear. First time through too.

Pretty sure the rest of my party is pretty pissed that I got both those drops. Oh well though. Not like I can control what I get.

Cleared the raid, I like how chatterwhite goes with the monte carlo...

I think the relic holder should stay on the second sych plate because keeping enemies off that is harder imo, but sounds like a good plan.

Tried Nightfall last night for the first time and did terribly. Level 27 Warlock.... My dmg output was hot garbage, was it due to the fact I have zero Legendary/Exotic weapons? Currently trying to grind Vanguard and Crucible to be able to purchase some.

Won't work since the people in portal 2 won't have anybody to cleanse the rebuff.

That part of the bounty (crucible part) sounds a lot worse than it is. Just go and play, you will get it faster than you think. It's not a 'need to beat everyone by 25:1 ratio in a game' thing. It's badly worded. It's cumulative over several games, and so long as you ikill more than you die, it's simple.

I would say each time you beat the raid, you get a form of currency specific to the raid (i.e. a raid "coin").

Normal completion: 1 raid coin
Hard completion: 2 raid coins

The Ghost of Kabr shows up randomly in the tower and sells:

Helmet: 5 raid coins
Gauntlets: 3 raid coins
Chest: 4 raid coins
Boots: 3 raid coins

Something along those lines. So you HAVE to beat the raid to even have a chance at buying it, but each run gives you SOME progress towards buying raid gear if you don't get it in a drop.

Have him sell raid specific legendary weapons as well.

Yep I'd be cool with this. Make it happen Bungie!

You could have just ran Devil's Lair 5 times and got it done in an hour.

the 25 k/d is cumulative.

Game 1: 15:10
Game 2: 12:8
Game 3: 15:10
Game 4: 19:8

Done

You mean like how MMOs work? I wish Bungie went this route or similar. Using RNG on a strict loot table is terrible.

Please this. I didn't get any armour when I did the raid, and if that happens again I'm going to cry :(

Yeah that is kind of weird it doesn't have elemental damage, but no, it's definitely not useless. "Aggressive" heat-seeking projectiles make that thing a beast.

Edit: Apparently it does have elemental. You not showing it in-game?
Was showing it to a co-worker on the app and he pointed out no elemental

What about primary weapons, do they have elemental damage? Haven't seen any?
