True, as cool as they are, Hunters contribution in high level PvE content is limited. They can't offer the rest of the team buffs and they can't self resurrect if shit hits the fan. If the classes ever get given a 3rd subclass Hunters need to be something useful, so that you don't see the rest of the hardcore go down the same route as my group are going and impose a Hunter ban in high level PvE content.

Well, guess I chose the wrong class. Hunters still have more style than anything else in the game.

So I'm curious PS players.. how did the Dust Palace and Multi Player map wind up being?
Dust Palace is one of my favorite strikes - its more than just one big boss circling or moving from side to side. Its several smaller mini-bosses who will mix it up with you, each with different shield types, and followed by plentiful waves of Cabal reinforcements. Where other strikes boil down to routine quickly, the Dust Palace usually keeps thing interesting through to the end.

Can't speak to multiplayer though as I don't touch Crucible.

Either way I think its a raw deal to withhold that kind of content, doubly so for a game this content starved.

Cool, I guess I'm never doing hard raid then. :<

oh man really, shit picked the wrong class. I did the warlock in beta so I went with hunter. I do have a lvl8 titan hahahaha. I guess I better lvl that up. crap I have some legendary gear for warlock in the vault . damn damn damn.

Don't worry, it won't become a major worry until more people reach the high level PvE content and start trying to figure out the most effective way to tackle it. My group is just a rarity for the time being.

I agree. I am a Hunter myself but its weak shit in PvE. You can't effectively use your super. Without Revive even the invis is useless.

Hunter needs a big PvE buff, or I might change up (recently got sick of PvP anyway) but too bad I sharded all exotics for other classes.

Dunno, I'm a hunter and a vast majority of the time, I end up with a bunch more kills and assists than my group in strikes. I usually roll as a Gunslinger.

So if I completed the Normal Raid and grabbed all chests then beat the Raid on Hard spawning at the Gatekeepers, will I still be able to grab the chests on Hard that I missed and still get loot?

Why do these shots look like they are from an N64?

HARD LIGHT was my first Exotic as well and I love it but after getting red death and my exotic machine guns I havent used it much. Red death has a health regan for kills mode. I really wanna see if it does much. anybody know??

I'm assuming you've cleared heroic then, right?

I spent most of my time last night trying to get past the gatekeeper part. Considering how easy it is in Normal and how the mechanics are the same, it seems like I might have to hit 30 before touching the relic again for heroic.

What do you and your group do? I know several strategies, but it seems our wipes boil down to not having enough survivability. We were all level 29.

Chests are one time per week... no matter if you got it on normal or hard.

cool, thanks. I'm lvl27 and a half :/ so im not ready anyway.

Normal Strikes are fine, you can beat that with just some shooting skills.

Its Raids where Hunters become rather useless. At least much less useful than other classes who can Sunsinger or Defend. And anything Light Switch does diminish Hunters quite a bit too. Then there is their slower armor regain.

Solar Burn makes gunslinger more useful, but Golden Gun is only 3 shots or so.

I think Hunters are the worst PvE class regardless.

What move do you use with the relic to kill the protheans and mobs in the portals? We had a titan pick up the relic and use the jump smash to destroy everyone in no time, I don't recall him dying at all. Obviously being a titan helps because the armor advantage but it should be as a sunbro.

Tell him you'll withhold sex if he doesn't get off. That would work for me.

Sound advice as always from random forum members! Nothing like a bit of blackmail to spice up a relationship.

The Strike is fricking atrocious if it's the one I am thinking of. Well, it's no worse than the others, but I hate them all equally.

There's three little Psions that are utter bullet sponges, while tons of Centurions spawn in, yellow and red.

Oi, i am level 27 :(

Haha, then why aren't we raiding, bumfluff?

I find hunters to be particularly useful for dispatching oracles with golden gun and running past gorgons with invis in the raid. Everyone is useful one way or another.

To me it seems like it's impossible to do the high level daily/weekly challenges without an Exotic firearm.

how difficult is the summoning pits strike for the Thorn bounty? can i do it solo?

Very difficult, me (lvl 27) and two lvl. 28 defender titan friends were only ably to do it in one try because they popped up a shield that barely lasted long enough to killed the melee knights that charged us.

Pro tip: if you stay back in the shrieker hallway/entrance hall, Xyor will never spawn. You have to be out in the room.

yup three shots is all you get. I do regain my super pretty damn fast specially if I see orbs around.

With varying degrees of usefulness, you have to admit. Besides, what good does running past gorgons while being invisble do when the whole team has to make it out?

The PvP experiences feels a little tacked on and not fully polished. I feel like supers should be rewarded by a killstreak, but then I realize most people suck at this game and an easy reward system like it currently has keeps the lesser skilled players playing. Hopefully their next game will bring some of the cool stat features right into the game lobby so you know just what you're up against.

So i bought The Devil You Know and I don't regret it at all, 150 marks well spent (as if I have anything else to spend vanguard marks on).

You can freely move about and watch the paths in order to tell people when to move and when to stay where they are.

Those are only small parts of the Raid, as well.

For Oracles I can also use weapons that have Oracle Disruptor. But even then, on Normal they die quick enough from a decent primary or secondary.

It were also Hunters that had the hardest time reaching the cheese spot against the Templar (me and another, lol).

The leveling system in general in this game is bizarre. You only get good drops in high-level content and you can't do high-level content without good gear.

Also, if you ever want to replace one of your legendaries you could potentially go down a level and basically progress backwards.

Bungie should have looked at Diablo 3 for inspiration because this shit is whack.
