It's the Archon Priest on Venus, and all 3 elements do bonus damage. EASY.

Hopefully they'll add a transmog/glamour option at some point and make collecting this stuff have a purpose.

To anyone who doesn't know what that means, it's a system where you can apply the look of one set of armour to another so you can use the stats you want but select your appearance. Exotics would probably need to be excluded as being able to see what your opponant is wearing and knowing what their bonuses are can be important in pvp.

Are you guys surprised Iron Banner armor is not at Raid set level ? Judging by the reactions here seems like a pretty easy event.

Yepper. I wanna IB all day and night (after Nightfall / Weekly Heroics are done).

But X, I don't mind doing Nightfall multiple times.

I think that, soon I will reach that point where I will be needing a complete raid to get some items for me to be able to go to level 30. I'm still at 27 but I have all the items ready to max one exotic piece of armour (helmet). The rest is legendary (that horrible queen's vest, ugh) but I also have most of the items for them. How many armour pieces from the raid we need to achieve level 30? One or two?

I was holding on my items and then spend them all the way to level up for a "aah, feels good!" but it's going to take a lot of time. I only did a Raid, once, to help some friends that were in need of assistance. And not only it was in the end boss part only, but also, I died and I got no loot from the Boss! You find Chests in the Raid, yes? Can they have those armour pieces or is that only from the Final Boss?

Just got the invictus bounty. Gonna see if I can grind the whole thing out today. Already done 2 strikes, but died doing nexus the third time because my partners, despite both being lv27 (highest level matches i'd had so far), were both awful.

Side question. I'm currently rocking Queens helm and robes, boots bought from the crucible vendor, and sunbreakers. Am I wasting my time if I put materials into these? I keep reading conflicting reports that only raid gear can hit 30.

Awesome, this looks like it may be the first week I can complete a Nightfall and Heroic Strike on 28. I've never done a Nightfall and only managed a 26 strike so far. I was able to get decently far solo on the Nightfall but a single Hobgoblin shot did me in. Can't wait to see if I can clear it with a buddy later tonight, if not, I am dipping in to the GAF talent pool.

I think it's inevitable that you will need to upgrade these to reach at least level 28 to be able to raid comfortably.

At the least I'd fully level your sunbreakers as you'll be keeping hold of them even if you do get raid gear.

Two things to consider- rank 1 of IB is just 100 rep, and Gaf isn't representative of the Destiny community. There's a lot of high tier players here, higher than a good chunk of those who play the game (without trying to sound important ofc). Point is, I don't think many outside of the hardcore will be getting to IB rank three in the next week or so, at 25 rep a win and the bounties for the most part requiring a decent amount of skill.

Besides all that though, it just means that there is now just one set of end-game armour per class, so as time goes on more and more people'll look the same, and more and more of the lower tier armour is just gonna sit in our mats inventory as parts. It's a shame there can't be more diversity at the high-end of play when all the parts are there. Like Zakalwe says above, and has been echoed many times in the OTs, we need transmog.




And there's one other thing I want Bungie lurkers to read- when you built this game, and dreamed that dream of the way we were all meant to play, was running round in circles on the moon for hours on end looking for enough planetary mats to upgrade your weapons and armour, rather than playing in the Iron Banner event, the way you dreamt for us to spend our time? Mats need sorting, this shit is stupid.

Think I'm burnt out on this game, put in about 30 hrs since release which is more hours per day then I usually game so I definitely got my money's worth, just reached level 27 with not a single legendary drop, if it wasn't for queens wrath and buying vanguard legendarys I never would have made it this far.

Kind of sad I never got to experience the thrill of random exotic or legendary drops but still had a blast.

Tried iron banner, my thorn was only doing about 8 dmg less, the poison damage was still 7 dmg a tick, everyone was shooting a suros regime.

Turned the game off :/
