The only thing that will tank this train is crappy comic book movies... I'm looking at you Sony and Fox.

Fox has been doing ok with their last two X-Men efforts. Only Sony seems to be really excited though to make shitty films. I am still trying to fathom how they want to turn their shitty Spider-Man films into a film universe on it's own.

wat

14 more years? surely people will be tired of comic book movies by that time

I'm not so sure about that. The trend with superhero movies now as opposed to in the past is that while they all share in common that they use superheroes, they all branch off into their own genres. Cap 2 was an action movie and a spy movie. Guardians was partially comedy. Ant-Man will be a heist film. The fact that they can have these variations keeps things fresh. I think that "superhero movie" is kind of just a general genre now, such as "romantic comedu" or "horror". It'll always be around to some degree because there are so many ways to tell similar stories.

Here's the 2028 thing:

There’s a map of films reaching far into the next decade on the wall of Feige’s office. “It’s like looking through the Hubble telescope. You go, ‘What’s happening back there? I can sort of see it,’ ” he laughs. “They printed out a new one recently that went to 2028.”

So many great casting opportunities for Captain Marvel... Emily Blunt, Yvonne Strahovski, JLaw... Pls based Marvel make a good choice

Anyone but Sackhoff

Interesting to note that Inhumans is coming AFTER Infinity Wars Part 1. Are they set up to join in Part 2?

Also, the idea of seeing ALL of these characters, new and old, teaming up against Thanos for two movies is just mind boggling.

GotG will probably involve Thanos getting the Power stone (and the destruction of Xandar) With hopefully Rhomann Dey escaping with the worldmind and crash landing on Long Island
fingers crossed

Not sure how I feel about Civil War being just a Captain focused movie.

Something like that I think they could get away with it just being called "Marvel: Civil War".

My guess is that Civil War won't just end in the movie and that it will slowly morph/become part of the Infinity War.

I really hoped Captain Marvel would end up as Ms Marvel movie instead. Now it's gonna steal thuner of Shazam in 2019.

No surprises here. No Hulk, She-hulk or Namor, so there goes the hope of Doctor Strange will pave the way for a The Defenders movie.

I'm more excited about Fox's lineup: X-men: Apocalypse, Deadpool, Cable & X-Force, The Silver Surfer...

I hope they build up a quality stable of villains by the time Infiinity Wars rolls out. I'm already super paranoid that Age of Ultron is just going to be a bunch of silver robort whoopings and god help us if they bring back that Chitauri as superhero fodder in Infinity Wars.

now that the intial shock has worn off:

This is pretty much the perfect lineup, IMO. Exactly what I wanted.

No surprises here. No Hulk, She-hulk or Namor, so there goes the hope of Doctor Strange will pave the way for a The Defenders movie.

The Defenders are already coming to Netflix. Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist.

You guys do realize that the Inhumans have been around since the 60s right?

I agree that its good, but you never explained how the bolded is still true.
Hawaiian Momoa as Aquaman, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, Wonder Woman is played by an Israeli woman, Dwayne Johnson as Black Adam

My honest guess is that they're going to roll out the phase 3 planning; Inhumans, Dr Strange, Cap 3, Thor 3, Guardians 2, and hopefully Black Widow & Hawkeye; what happened in Budapest , Black Panther (which is basically a given now that Cap's shield is broken), and a solo Hulk.

Ultimately Avengers 3, which might be a double feature with Guardians 3 both teams taking on Thanos.

So, so close.

Woooooow. This is so much to process. As I kept scrolling through OP seeing more and more new properties for the MCU, I thought "I guess the success of GotG gave Marvel the go-ahead to pretty much do whatever they want at this point" I just hope they don't over do it, throwing so many unfamiliar faces at people too fast. I'm kind of disappointed that Civil War is only taking place during a solo film and not something more epic. Even tho, I guess saving as an Avengers story would be kind of dull since those need to be big team vs. big bad type films. I sure as hell hope Winter Soldier is still in it as well as Falcon to go along with Black Panther.
