I've just had a look over your previous posts, and I'd estimate 30 of your last 50 posts have been in this topic, most of them overwhelmingly negative. This is supposed to be a hype thread, and you're really bringing nothing but negativity. Do you have anything else to add, or are you just here to bitch and moan?

99% of the stuff mentioned here will not materialize on 6 Dec but the unstoppable hype train has always been half the fun. GAF delivered as always :)

It's only anecdotal evidence and I'm not using this to suggest Crash would suddenly be a 5m+ retail success, but I'm a "gamer" (whatever that means) in a large friends circle of folks who haven't really played many or any games since we were kids with the PS1. Crash Bandicoot is the game that gets talked about and the game I get asked about more than any other. By miles. I know people who would buy a PS4 if there was a new Crash Bandicoot on it.

Like I say, anecdotal. But I can't imagine that's exclusive to the group of people I know either. The amount of times Crash gets mentioned in threads like this or ANY thread with references back to the PS1 suggests there's hunger for a return, and I'd argue not just in traditional hardcore circles either.

Yes and no. I've already stated that reviving Crash in the most sensible way would be to give that license to an innovative and hungry independent studio. There were people who wanted ND to work on it a few pages back -- at least no one is making that argument anymore. The best argument against Shenmue is a numbers one, but whatever. I don't have some perverse investment in killing hype. A new Crash game would excite a lot of folks here. Some people think a new Crash would be amazing, I just think it's a bit meh.

We're on a forum that should ideally have facilitate a wide spectrum of discussion. None of my posts, despite being "negative" (i.e. a minority opinion), have been ad hominem attacks or blatant derails. They just happen to be unpopular. I also haven't been driveby posting and I haven't shown a reluctance to elaborate when asked. I'm here because I plan on watching this event and there happens to be a PS4 under my television. People should be able to have their fun and they can.

Thats not true. youre not adding to the discussion at all. I already posted a good example of that. youre coming in here, saying what you dont want to see, and thats it. youre not adding to the discussion in any way whatsoever.

I stated "a minority opinon" earlier and then offered something I would like to see myself; you're just saying "no i dont want that and youre wrong for not agreeing with me". its a big difference.

Muse, if what's announced at PSX doesn't match your taste, you're fully entitled to complain and bitch about it. It's your preferences not being met.

However, we're literally talking out-of-our-ass here. We are dreaming up everything from Shenmue 3 to GTAVI.

Instead of nitpicking about some folk's preferences and what they want to see ( their opinion ), why not be more positive and talk about what you want to see, and steer the conversation in that direction?

But I've literally repeated something I've already said. I don't think ND or Media Molecule are the right people for a new Crash game (a point other people have made). I said it should be given to an appropriate independent dev and released as a $15 DLC title. If you think it should be a AAA $60 game, we can discuss that.

Don´t speak on everyone´s behalf. I would rather Sony get Spyro instead of Crash, but i know that is very unlikely. And FYI PlayStation fans identify with many characters, not with just one, which is the great thing Sony. The variety of IP and interesting characters are huge.

FYI: I know that.
Still, if you have been on a few PS-only sites in the last years, you always hear "New Crash? ". Yes, there is Dart, Alundra, Arc, Tombi, etc. but Crash is, for a lot LOT of people the No.1 PS mascot. Not Spyro, not Dart, etc.
It's Crash.

Also, you should make an effort not to get so emotionally riled up over who is in a thread. You could simply not quote me or ignore me. I'm not bothered by that, but essentially asking me to get out because I'm not saying nice things is a bit unfair.

And Crash would be a waste of ND´s time money and effort, especially when they said they have no interest in making catoony games. Crash is not a Sony IP, unlike Alundra and Tombi, so financially speaking, it is better if Sony invests in the IP that they own. It is a big waste to spend a huge amount of money buying an old IP, just to please few individuals, especially when the studio who made Crash is not interested in making cartoony games.

What if they already bought the IP back?
I would love to see Naughty Dog develop one more. Much more than another Uncharted, Last of Us or realistic game.
