Why do people still do thisssss
You'd think 4 years after release this confusion would stop...

Wii U dominates every sales chart? In what universe?
Should have done more than make a damn flyer Nintendo. MS and Sony offered fresh new bundles to entice buyers meanwhile theye basically watched them from the sidelines entice black Friday and Christmas shoppers. No excuse for not pushing the Wii U harder with maybe $249 price point and maybe Super Smash Bundle.
That said I partly agree. Wii U has some great first party titles, not sure anything there though trumps Minecraft for a lot of kids.
What's the other list though? Quality, not quantity. Right, Nintendo?
Please update the OP if it is known. Or let's put it together.
Here are the other platforms.
Vita (Retail, 85% & 8.5 user):
Persona 4 Golden - 93% (9.3)
Rayman Origins - 88% (8.5)
LBP - 88% (8.8)
Rayman Legends - 87% (8.7)
Tearaway - 87% (9.1)
FFX/X-2 HD - 86% (8.6)
PS4 (Retail, 85% & 8.5 user):
Last of Us Remastered - 95% (8.7)
Guilty Gear Xrd - 86% (8.5)
Xbox One (Retail, 85% & 8.5 user):
Nothing
By using the 8.5+ user rating, they discounted every high rated Xbox One game & almost every high rated PS4 game. And the retail requirement really hurt the Vita list since a lot of their best games are digital-only.
They probably wanted to strip out the games vastly overrated in the press.
Edit: Fucking Halo MCC has a Metacritic of 85 and a user rating far lower and it's unplayable so yeah, Nintendo's spin machine sure is up to no good.
Dragon Age: Inquisition has a 5.8 user score.
Sometimes having the best games isn't good enough. They also have to be games that people want to play.
The Wii U suffers especially bad from this; it's got a lot of great, high scoring games, that aren't in genres that the masses like to play.
Nintendo needs to know who their market is and who they're selling to. Their hardcore Nintendo fan base shrinks with each generation, they won't always be able to depend on them.
They factored in third parties though. It's still factually true. I don't see why you're having such a problem with this haha. It's factually false. Third party games are thing.
Dragon Age: Inquisition has a 5.8 user score.
Yeah, Nintendo absolutely included the user score metric as a bullshit spin tactic to make their list, because without that and the arbitrary removal of digital titles, the entire argument of having "more great games...than anywhere else" falls apart.
Recently, I purchased a Wii U and I am perfectly happy with it. And that is without having to lie to myself or anyone else to make it look better than it really is. Its got a surprisingly robust library and its only getting better. This kind of PR crap is pointless.
No Far Cry 4, Shadow of Mordor, Dragon Age Inquisition, Advanced Warfare, GTAV, or Diablo 3. Nintendo has a great 1st party lineup but their lack of 3rd party support is crippling. It basically forces consumers to make WiiU a secondary console after they've already bought a PS4 or XBO, and it reflects in sales.
Either way you have to own something that's not a Wii U if you want to play third party games. Whether that is a console or a PC is completely irrelevant.PC for those games; free online and the most future proof platform. In some cases vastly better controls, FPS/RTS.
Nintendo makes mostly cartoony, family-friendly games, while PS4/XB1 have the more realistic games that aren't so approachable for the whole family. One glance at a Walmart game shelf will make that apparent.nintendo only make the kid games am i right boyos

Well, is true. If the "mases" don't want those games, the mases are wrong.
I also detected some salt. Completely understandable.
Good for Nintendo.
This sort of logic (which Nintendo seems to believe as well) is why Nintendo is spending so much time at third place.
In reality all the systems have a lot of good games, and retail vs digital is absolutely irrelevant to game quality.
To be fair, DA:I has been an on-and-off buggy ride for me on my PC and I find the combat in the game to be dreadful. I really like the game but I wouldn't be giving it anything higher than a 7 when one of the major components of the game bores me to tears. User scores don't necessarily mean people were trolling, they could just be unhappy on the by with various things that ultimately hurt the review.
You're right, but a PC has not been and will never be a suitable gaming platform for all people. The bottom line is that PC/Nintendo covers the most bases, especially now that franchises like MGS and GTA are PC bound.
From where I'm standing you're buying a PS4 for Sony 1st party games and a couple of console exclusives. On top of that pay for online. How anyone can use that as their base for gaming is beyond me, and fill it out with a random assortment of indie games, only a small portion of everything available on a PC.
PC for those games; free online and the most future proof platform. In some cases vastly better controls, FPS/RTS.
If you were on a car-centric forum, you can bet your butt there would be 14 page discussions of those "best in class" claims.I don't get it. It's just advertising.
Why is there a 7/14 pg thread on...basic advertising??
(Every car commercial says "best in its class")

I also think a lot of us sometimes forget that it's not the norm to own multiple consoles. It may be on GAF but outside of our box it's not so common. A single console gamer will be playing everything on the same device and the lack of third party support makes the Wii U seem like a poor choice when owning 2 or 3 consoles isn't really an option.None of that changes the fact that the WiiU is still primarily a secondary platform. My point was that people who want to play a wide assortment of games are going to have to own another console or gaming PC. If all I owned was a PS4 then I would have access to almost every major 3rd party titles, tons of indies, and a solid lineup of 1st party titles. Only owning a WiiU I would have little to no 3rd party games, a very weak lineup of indies, and admittedly great 1st party games. Unfortunately the 1st party lineup just isn't enough to compensate for the lack of 3rd party support.
Now I do own both a PS4 and a WiiU but I think you understand my point.

this is silly. bayonetta 1? really?
Sorry but I don't really accept that when I don't even have the time to play all the great games on 1 platform let alone 3 of them (4 if you include PC) . You won't get to play everything if you only stick to 1 platform but unless you've got a hell of a lot of free time you'll find more than enough quality to keep you occupied. If I quit my job today it'd be years before I got through my Steam and PS4 backlogs, and that's if I ignored everything new. The glut of quality gaming is real for all but the most cynical of us.Just as no man is an island, no console/platform can stand alone as the only provider for great games. Long live PC + multiple consoles I say.
True. Saying Nintendo needs 3rd party is pathetic.
They can dominate every sales chart without that.
And yet I have absolutely no intention of ever buying a Wii U or any other Nintendo products.
Good old statistics eh, they can be spun to show anything.
Kid Icarus isn't on the 3DS side
How, exactly? Critics can be swayed by conflict of interest, users can't.
Anyone else find it BS Wii U gets a free pass for hiding behind another platform?
Paying a $1000 sure isn't going to make the PS4/XBO look less attractive when it does 1st party and 3rd party support for far less.
How does one not liking something make that person a fanboy?Nintendo didn't claim they could cure you of being a fanboy so I'm not sure what your post has to do with the thread.
No.Don't forget you have to pay hundreds of dollars per month to play online on that 1000 dollar pc. Broadband is expensive and your Titan needs it to process ... Uh...tressphysx?
Even at a more realistic price range I don't see how Wii U + PC is an attractive prospect to someone who wasn't already into PC gaming in the first place.Don't forget you have to pay hundreds of dollars per month to play online on that 1000 dollar pc.
