Just one question though, is there an on-screen charge bar I'm missing that shows you when you can use boosters again?

I'm trying to get a handle on how frequently you can use. Right now it feels like once every 2 or 3 seconds? Anybody know the exact 'charge' time?

A little red triangle next to shield pops up

I'm finding it really hard to spot the weapon spawns in both maps. They should really stick out more.

Agreed, it's more of a problem on Truth for me, but on both maps it's kinda hard to see weapon spawns.

I often see the 'press X to pick up' prompt without even realizing I've walked over a weapon.

Warming up to the game a bit.

Still think the clambering mechanic is sloppy and annoying more often than it's helpful.

The 'flinch' mechanic/animation glitch/whatever is infuriating, but we've already been told it will be gone so I won't hold that against it.

TTK is too short.

Everything else... I'm starting to really like.

there is a red exclamation mark after you use boost on top right, that is indicator

My thoughts on sprint are to remove it as a mechanic that you can activate (by that I mean, press button to sprint).

Instead they should increase the base Spartan movement speed and once you've been moving forward for a set amount of time, without stopping or shooting, your Spartan automatically starts to pick up speed and sprint. So if you've been running forward for 15 seconds straight (15 seconds is just an example) and you haven't stopped or shot your weapons, your Spartan automatically starts to sprint.

That way it can be used as a means to travel large distances quickly (useful on larger maps).
The game still retains a faster pace since base movement speed is increased anyway.
People can't abuse it and just hit the sprint button the moment they start taking damage to escape (I must admit to doing this myself at times and I feel cheap when doing it).
You also free up a button on the controller since you haven't got to press anything to activate it.

Could you imagine how OP it would have been on Zenith in H2A if they had included it's ability to fire missiles. It would have been madness, but mostly rage for whatever team controlled Banshee and Rockets.

Halo 3 banshee had the right mix of power and agility without being OP. Reach's was certainly more fun to fly, but the bombs and flips were really excessive. Halo 4 just made it clunkier.

I'd be okay with the H2A banshee though.
 
Is there a way to cancel out of clamber and ground pound? I actually haven't tried it yet but I just thought that a boost out of a clamber or ground pound mid-motion would be a good way to do it. BRB im trying.

Hopefully the ranking system is tweaked before launch. This thing is laughable.

I like the fuel rod bomb, gives you that extra oomf when you need to bring the pain.

Is there a way to cancel out of clamber and ground pound? I actually haven't tried it yet but I just thought that a boost out of a clamber or ground pound mid-motion would be a good way to do it. BRB im trying.

For Ground Pound, just let go of the crouch button? Does that work?
Clamber seems to quick to really cancel.

Edit: Wait, I think I misunderstood. You mean to chain them right?
 
12 14 and 6. those are some embarrassingly low numbers but i feel like i'm finally starting to hit some shit.

i think i should just take the motors out of my controller.

I really love this game but damn am I bad at it.
I'm Bronze I and I still find myself getting fucked up regularly. I don't remember being this bad at shooters. Guess I'm just old or out of practice...

I'm average at the past Halo's but a beast on this one, weird.

Just decided I prefer 4's pistol though, in every way. Sound, sight and handling.

the beta just came out and people are still getting adjusted so those messages confuse me. at this point i'm happy if i manage to headshot one person before i die and lose the weapons i just picked up.

on that note, had a BR for most of the game on Truth just now and finally started my honeymoon phase. unlike midship, it seems like it's more beneficial to just run around on this map. sitting in the tower looking for people usually had me being shot from the other tower suddenly.

friday is going to be fun.

Damn, 3/7/10 isn't even that awful when you have that many assists.
I've seen spreads far more negative with less assists.

I've had a few team games with GAF folk where I end up with 3 kills and 15 assists. :lol

For me its just that while the movement is more free-form than its ever been in Halo, it's still not nearly as tight as it is in TItanfall.

But Titanfall is COD-like, so it fails by default. Most of my time as a pilot is spent looking down the scope, fuck that mechanic. I do love the movement but lament the COD mechanics (its exactly like COD from what I remember, I stopped playing because I will never enjoy FPS games that use that style)

If its like H2 then its perfect.

While I am definitely enjoying the game, it is hard when you're a lone wolf. Even more so when the game decides to match you up versus full teams, which is just all kinds of dumb.

Also, the smart scope on the pistol is like my nemesis. It feels as if I am a drunkard and my sensitivy moved from 3 to 10.

While I am definitely enjoying the game, it is hard when you're a lone wolf. Even more so when the game decides to match you up versus full teams, which is just all kinds of dumb.

Yeah lone wolf is extremely hard to do now. 2+v1 situations are almost impossible to win unless your grenades connect. 2 man cells are like a requirement now.
 
I know there are a lot of unneeded medals. But I love the Last round one. Especially when you get it with close call. Makes you feel like you made it by the skin of your teeth. :p

Also I don't wanna play another halo game without Spartan chatter. Loving that so much.

I was playing with 2 other friends and got matched up with a random who went fucking 0-18.

Still won the game though. lol.

I've already got a bunch of gaffers on my friends list, but the more the merrier!

Man his game is finally starting to click. At first I was so frustrated, death seemed to come quick and from the biggest noobs. Here's my advice to anyone jumping in on this coming from previous Halo's...this game ha to be tackled differently especially with the beefed up automatic weapons. If you love the BR/DMR you need to start learning how to keep your distance. The DMR's range is monstrous compared to the BR which is great but it's much harder to use close range. I still prefer it over the BR but both serve their purpose. The cosmetic ADS is actually a welcomed change for me. I Love the BR's one and I love mowing down with the SMG. It was the feature I was most worried about especially because I loathe COD. Sniper is great and just as it should be. Game definitely needs BR/DMR starts to be fair. The Asssault rifle still doesn't cut it. Other than that I think the game needs a touch of time to get used to. I started off as Gold1 and today I smashed through Onyx. Take your time to get accustomed and the mechanics will sink in.

Honesty I feel this game is excellent. I see great potential in this being the bet multiplayer halo experience to date. This is coming from someone who was there for Halo since day 1.
