I think bring ridiculously cheap in regards to an essential accessory qualifies as being awful to your customers in this case.
Being miserly is a way of treating your customers poorly dude.
That is odd then. The only reasonable explanation for not releasing it here is that the smaller 3DS didn't sell as well, but if it's essentially the same everywhere and other places are getting both models, then it just seems like a bad decision on Nintendo's part.I was referring to not selling the smaller 3DS in America. Not including an adapter is a dumbshit, anti-consumer move regardless of region. Nintendo has earned its dead last place position, and I get why people applaud that fact. Moves like selling electronics without any means to charge them just tells their customers, "We don't give a shit about you."
The XL dominates in all regions apparently. 2:1 in Japan.
The no AC adapter can't be right. How would one charge their new system if say there are no more AC adapters to buy?
It means I won't be buying once since though I have an XL original model, I find it's too big for comfortable travel and wanted to get the smaller one, with the benefit of faceplates and such. Instead I'll just stick with my old XL I suppose. And wait it out. Hopefully they come to their senses.
To prohibit what? Selling a product and including the items you state are included?
Selling eletronics with no means to charge them should never be aceptable in any place in the world.
This has no actual reasoning beyond being something you want.
What I'm saying is that those regions probably bought more regular 3DS, both in terms of sales and proportions. They probably didn't find enough appeal in the USA due to several reasons (cost, no interest in faceplates from survey groups, size, etc).
The lack of AC adapter is something they've been doing for some time in countries besides the US. I suppose it's annoying if you don't already have one but personally I have several lying around.
Selling electronics with no means to charge them should never be acceptable in any place in the world. The fucking thing has a proprietary port, there is no way to charge without it.
The scary thing is how accepting people are about it. Like they enjoy spending money on things that should be included. "But other regions did it first!~" - yeesh.
If they wanted to save money, they could have just included a USB power cable.
This has no actual reasoning beyond being something you want.
I am having flashbacks of having to explain to people that systems didn't come with memory cards and they had to buy them separately.
It wasn't a big deal then, Its not a big deal now.

Nintendo probably hoping that people buying a new 3DS when their old 3DS runs out of battery, hence no AC adapter for you.
I don't remember seeing people be up in arms about the PS3/360 not coming with HDMI cables which are basically required and they're muchore expensive than the 3ds adapter. How is this any different? They've sold 3ds's w/o the adapter in EU and JP for a long time now and that hasn't damaged their image or sales.

It's easy to say this when you don't have the data they do and you don't have to balance a company's bottom line.Well of course Nintendo had to fuck something up, they always seem to trip in the last 100 metres after doing so damn well the whole race

Generally people expect their products to work beyond 6 hours. This has no actual reasoning beyond being something you want.
Very few electronics are sold in a completely unusable condition

Oh my god, you are a lost case if you think this acceptable.
