Shitty games that your dumb ass paid full price for

This fucker right here:

I actually had fun, but I beat it in 3 hours. Fuck that.

I will never forget the day I walked into Walmart to buy this piece of shit when it was released.

I knew from the moment I looked at the start screen that I had made a bad decision buying this game.

Common, it wasn't that bad. It wasn't as good as the first, but it was stil enjoyable.

Paid full price for Duke Nukem Forever: Balls of Steel edition.

Also, Driver 3 collector's edition. At least the Atari T-shirt was nice...

I won't say "shitty" so much as just didn't feel they were worth the full entry price in my personal opinion.

GTA IV
Silent Hill: Homecoming
Twisted Metal (PS3)
FFXIII
Super Smash Bros. Wii U
White Knight Chronicles
Resident Evil 5

Destiny. I should have listened to my gut and stopped at the Beta.

As a contrast, I impulse-bought Driveclub because of the recent hype and I am surprisingly enjoying the game. Go figure.

Feel 100% the same on both accounts.

not only did I paid full price for this game, but I got the collector's edition, god do I ever regret it and yes I am talking about assassin's creed unity, god what an awful performing game.

Phantasy Star Universe
Golden Sun Dark Dawn
Dark Cloud
Lost Planet 2
White Knight Chronicles (so much potential lost here)
Fable: Lost Legends (worst game of all time)
Brave Story
Two Worlds
Halo 3: ODST

No, Shinji didn't have any involvement, though he also wasn't involved in DC2. It had the same producer as DC2, which was Hiroyuki Kobayashi. Surprising considering not only how well (if not a bit convoluted) Dino Crisis 2 came out, but also being heavily involved with Dino Crisis and all the main line RE games up to that point except Nemesis.

The directors haven't been involved afaik to any other projects before or since.

Oddly enough, it's surprising how garbage the story came out when the writer was Noboru Sugimura aka the lead writer for Resident Evil 2.

Thought he was Dino Crisis 3 Executive producer.
Though I really don't want to pull up the credits to confirm that.
EDIT:

It jumped the shark beyond anything that's happened in RE. DC2 if you remember ends with one helluva cliffhanger, and this game has nothing to do with any of it.

Arcadey gameplay. Terrible camera angles that don't fit the movement or play space. The dinosaurs
aren't even dinosaurs. They are the ship's crew after the ship's A.I. goes predictably crazy.
and are not enjoyable to fight. Incredibly short with little or no replay value. Nothing to do with either Dino Crisis 1 or 2, except a throw-away mention of Third Energy iirc.

Hell, Gun Survivor 3 (aka Dino Stalker) is a better Dino Crisis game than Dino Crisis 3. Where's Jawmuncher? Need a good Dino Crisis rant from Jawmuncher.

You pretty much summed it all up for me.
Still working on getting my OG xbox and my copy of DC3 sent to me so I can do a full write up of everything wrong with it.
The rant everyone truly want's is coming.

Double Post My bad

Edit: Since I have this space I might as well use it.
I will echo the sentiments of Dino Crisis 3.
I knew everything going in about how it was basically it's own thing.
I still wasn't prepared.

Not as bad as I could have done, but my biggest retail regret ever:

In one hand, Final Fantasy 8.

In the other hand, Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete.

I bought FF8.

Dumb ass.

Bound by Flame.

I was craving a next gen fantasy RPG and bought it the day it came out. Some people seemed to really like it but I fucking hate that game. I would've sold it but I forgot to use that thing between my ears and bought it digitally lol.

Destiny
Diablo 3
WildStar

I don't buy many games at launch because I hate to be disappointed. I'm batting about 50/50 on those I do buy at launch though.

Tao Fang Fist of the Lotus. I knew it was shit, but somehow my older brother talked me into it when we were at the store. I still give him crap for it today.

Too many games to list. Red Steel for Wii and Haze for PS3. Ubisoft lost my confidence after that. My dad paid $1000 for the PS3 with 6 games Walmart bundle at launch per my request.

One of the worst games that I've ever played. In my defence EA and Konami had abandoned the Dreamcast and I was desperate for a football game.

Actually, you're right, Shinji was executive producer for 2 and 3. Had to look at the credits myself since nothing else connects the project to him.

Which probably amounts to him endorsing the projects. Doubt he had much involvement beyond maybe as a consult for DC2.

Can't wait to read that RTTP write-up. You're a braver soul than I.

EDIT: Beaten by your edit lol

Uncharted 3, it wasn't shitty yes, but after Uncharted 2 i really had a lot of expectactions for it, but it was so disappointing...

Arkahm City. A great game but if you pre-ordered then you must remember all the DX11 issues which they never really fixed.

None. I'm very lucky and or good about the games I buy day 1. I have never paid full price for a bad game before, I always end up liking the games I pick out. I wait out for sales for most games, and Destiny for example was terrible but I bought it for $40 on Rakuten and then sold it for $40 at Target during their double trade in price deal.

I paid full price for Final Fantasy 13 and 13-2, but I liked both games and the only thing I didn't like was how fast those games dropped in price.

So my answer is: Not Applicable.

Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII - I wish I could have returned this game O__O

White Knight Chronicles 2 - I went and returned this game almost immediately. A low point for an otherwise excellent developer.

I didn't technically buy it myself, but someone bought me Shadow the Hedgehog at full price for Christmas because I wanted it.

I thought "Well, people were down on Sonic Heroes, too, and that was pretty good." Ugh. I played through it once and never touched it again, and this was at a time in my life where I was never that way with short games. And Shadow had branching paths and everything, so there would have been a lot of replay value if it wasn't utter garbage.

I also regret paying full price for No More Heroes 2. It wasn't a shitty game, but it felt really soulless compared to No More Heroes 1. Turns out Suda51 was greatly exaggerating his involvement in the game and now I just don't trust Grasshopper any more.
