Yeah, I tried that and it didn't seem to do anything. I dont see an option for a free version.Same problem here, bought it today (about 6 hours ago).
Clicking to download on the website doesn't work to.
Try downloading the game through your download list on the SEN web store. You should see a page similar to this one.So I just bought this on PS4 and it won't let me download it. It just gives me the option to start, I hit that and it says "application cannot be found, find on PlayStation store?". I hit that and am presented to just start the game again, which has not downloaded. What gives?
I tried that through the browser on my phone and it didnt do anything. Should I try on my PC?Try downloading the game through your download list on the SEN web store.

It should also note that your PS4 has to be set to Primary for this to work. :/We need this in the OP:
Step 1:
Delete from your PS4
Step 2:
Go to store.playstation.com (or your regions equivalent)
Step 3:
Highlight over your name and press download list

Step 4:
Click on the PS4 version of Grim Fandango and press "download to your PS4"
You should.I tried that through the browser on my phone and it didnt do anything. Should I try on my PC?
Man, I think "remastered" is a bit of a stretch here. They improved the renderer but, for the most part, it really isn't a big upgrade.
I suppose there isn't much that could have been done, though. I doubt they have the original assets used to create the backgrounds so they were stuck with 640x480 pre-rendered assets. The models, though, could have been improved further, I think. The filtering used on the backgrounds isn't great either - there aren't a ton of great options there, I suppose, but I think it could have been handled better.
The Vita port also runs quite poorly which seems insane to me.
Delete the game.
Use the PlayStation webstore to purchase the "free" SKU if you haven't already.
Then use the Download List option on the webstore to add it to your queue.
My dynamic theme is corrupted :S. I try to use it and the PS4 tells me to delete the theme and download it again, but every time I do so it it reappears in the theme library. So I can't download it again because I already have it, and I can't use it because it's corrupted, but I can't delete it because... buh?
Loving the cross save between PS4 and Vita. Didn't realize (may have heard and I forgot) that it had this feature. Makes picking up and putting down on the go a cinch.
This happened to me as well. Go to your notifications then the download queue and delete it from the download list. Then redownload.
How does this work exactly? Just upload the save with the PS+ icon on vita, the download it again on PS4? I plan starting with the vita version on my lunch break.
There are 4 save slots and 3 of the slots in Grim have cloud icons. I saved on my PS4 and then when I loaded my Vita version it asked me if I wanted to download or overwrite the Cloud Save sllot.
Why is this saying that it unlocks in 13 hours on PS4? I'm on the east coast.
Read the thread and you'll find tons of fixes

I'm downloading the Steam version right now, and hopefully I won't run into any issue, and also I hope they solve all the bugs and stuff soon.
Now, all those technical issues aside, for both PS4 and PC. I'm not feeling like this is a trully well done remaster after all. I just bought it because it was cheap in Steam, and because I've never played Grim Fandango.
But come on, by what I've been reading, this "remaster" is more like a re-release, with some control mods in the package:
1- No true 16:9 support.
2- No auto-saving.
3- No hints system.
4- No big graphical improvements.
I would expect more of a "remaster". But maybe I'm expecting a lot, since I just played Resident Evil Remaster HD, and that was pretty awesome.
Thanks man, I'll do that.
I've read through about 90% of this thread, but I think there's only one fix, right? And you need your PS4 to be the primary system or else it won't work.
Added!

Just a question, but shouldn't there maybe be a separate thread for technical issues? That way maybe we can get to discussing the actual game here.

I preloaded games before, there were never any problems, but I'm not sure if I'd be doing it again until I see how the next few releases pan out. This was downright scary what happened here.First game I pre-ordered on PSN, and it sure didn't leave me hopeful for any future ones.

OP Here is a link to DL the original OST from the original fansite.
http://www.grimfandango.net/index-previous.php?page=soundtrack
It's one of the few properly remastered games on the market because it is not a revisionist piece of work, unless you count the redone soundtrack which frankly doesn't sound any different from the original.I agree, it's a huge stretch to call this a remaster. I've seen other "remasters" ripped apart on GAF for less but this seemingly gets a pass "cause it's Grim Fandango" but that makes it worse, it should have had more done to it, if ever there was a game worthy of a full 1-1 remake, this is it.
Before anyone says "But it's only $15" How much were the Monkey Island special editions on 360?
