I don't get these guys, they got up from under Activision because it seemed oppressive and you would think with all the money they got they would be their own bosses doing shit their way but here they seem hoodwinked by EA announcing their game without their consent.
Either-way, cant wait. And I wish people would stop holding it against them that the first one was exclusive. Just stop and be fucking thrilled it is coming to PS4.
A bit of a shit way to announce it
Wouldn't expect this to be a Source 2 title. Didn't their tech lead say that the engine was so heavily modified it was barely Source anyway?
I can finally see Titanfall
Clicked on the thread to see the announcement. Didn't see one. Fixed the thread title.![]()

There is no such thing as a console exclusive. If a game is on more than one platform, it's not exclusive.
I really hate that term. I don't really hate a lot of things because it's such a strong word, but console exclusive is so stupid. I almost feel console exclusive likely originated from some fanboy trying to win a silly internet debate that doesn't accomplish anything IRL.
Right, but there's a big difference between "EA announces Titanfall 2" and "EA says yet again that they're working on a Titanfall sequel."Every first sequel is referred to by the press as "______ 2" until the official title is given. Tons of articles were written about "Star Wars 2" before they finally revealed "The Empire Strikes Back."

I'm be curious about if they'll be staying with that modified Source engine.
One thing Zampella was keen to think about changing was the DLC model for the future, citing Evolve's commitment to keeping the community united via free maps for all as the ideal way forward.
"I think that's a fantastic way to do it," he said. "I think having the maps like that in packs, it does split the community and it makes it harder for matchmaking, it's messy. Yeah. I don't know we won't do it again, I can't say that for sure, but the idea would be to do something different."

This is uh... Two different things. A console exclusive simply means that a game is only on one console (regardless of whether or not it's on PC).
Not sure how it's "stupid". The sales of multiplats show that many people don't play games on PC.
It's 2015 guys. The sequel is coming out to the PS4. What's with the late 2013-early 2014 "build up to Titanfall launch" posts?
1080p@60fps please.
Co-op is already in Titanfall 1, there's a horde mode against enemy Titans and soldiers that don't exist in campaign and mp.Single player campaign and I'll bite.
Add Co-op as well (vs Computer), and all the better!
PS: I'm shocked! Shocked I tell ya!![]()
This game is going to be huge.
Modern warfare was a heavily modded id tech 4 game I believe all the vids up to advanced warfare were in fact seems like they would keep pace with previous behaviours.
Man, they just dropped the first game into a ditch and sprinted on to the next game, huh?
Did Titanfall do well? I know it didn't live up to the hype, but that applies to the 2014 AAA scene in general.
He's working on a third person project with them so that's doubtful
I'm not so sure. The last one didn't exactly set the charts on fire and adding PS4 (while maybe dropping 360) doesn't seem like enough to be "huge". I'm sure it'll get heavily marketed again though so who knows.
Unless you meant "huge" as in a quality game. Then yeah, I can see them expanding on what a lot of folks said was a fine game.
??
There was a lot of post release patching and additional content as I recall.
I'm going to reiterate what another poster said. I'm not going to believe this until I see a trailer/PR statement with PS4 branding. never underestimate MS's ability to roll in and moneyhat a multiplatform game in development.
The first one was pretty successful. I'm sure this will be even bigger.
Good, now stop the politics and embrace/introduce console cross-play. It's 2015 for pete's sake!
It should have console-PC cross play. It won't, but it should.
