VaatiVidya just said it's not worth it - apparently you only get a few extra blood vials. It's better to just avoid him completely.

It was absolutely worth it for bragging rights and fun purposes. I was jacked when I managed to kill them, very intense fight, but yeah, I was hoping for Demons souls level coolness after. no luck.

Early on snuck past the big guy thumping at the door and I thought I was being very clever, but then after dispatching the guys on the nearby stairs after, out of nowhere I get killed by a giant dude. I guess I triggered some event for him to always notice me or maybe I was being loud or something.

Did the same to me. Crapped myself when I turned around and saw him just muttering right beside me about it being cold. Got a bit scared and went backwards - ended up finding the route to a very handy shortcut so quite happy he decided to follow me!

As far as I'm aware, there's only one shield which you find a little bit into the game and it isn't very good.

Well balls to that, I'm gonna have to accept this gun huh? Fine, more loading screens for me untill I get the hang of it. Having to roll around all the time is a bit messy, especially when in really tight corridors or alleyways. I suppose I'll have to get better then.

I posted this last night, but didn't see any responses:

I killed the werewolf with my bare hands at the the start of the game and then made it all the way to the hunter's dream without dying. I didn't notice anything special except maybe a few bloodvials and some extra molotovs? Anybody else know anything about this?

I did the same and nothing happened. Honestly the werewolf was easy as hell to get behind and land a barehand backstab on.

she should be there by the rafters. i just killed her like 10 minutes ago. or she'll be by the place you fight the machine gunner. there's another NPC hunter there. you can intervene and help her.
