This is for my homie Father-G

Remember kids
play with fire!

Welp, can't do it. 2nd boss, second form every time easily, then die. Tried the suggestions about
the stairs area
, but it hasn't been helping so far. Have used two insight to try to summon coop partners, no one ever joins. Like five hours stuck on this. :|

Man I am so excited to play this tonight. This is going to be my first Souls game but I used to play a lot of Monster Hunter so hopefully some of those skills transfer lol

I need help leveling up guys. I have no idea what stats are important besides the main ones like endurance, strength, and vitality. I want to keep using saw cleaver like and blunder busters if that means anything.

Also, how do you get new weapons

My wife is at home playing it now. She went with Troubled Chikdhood and the cane whip. She says molotovs are vital, and that it's fun, but hard, and that I'll love it!

Still another 3 hours before I get home, and I still need to run to the store! It's torture.

Which weapon are you using? Have you upgraded it?

I find sometimes taking a lengthy break and coming back later helps.

I chose to believe the long load-times were built into the game in order to give the player a brief respite from the game before being pulled back in.
That, and bathroom breaks.

While I doubt this is the case, I definitely think there are downsides to games with a rapid respawn and die cycle, as I think it builds frustration faster than in the Souls games where the pace between deaths is generally more measured.

While its frustrating having to travel all the way back to the boss that just killed you, over the course of that journey you usually acquire more souls/echoes which raises the stakes and adds an escalating sense of suspense leading up to meeting your former nemesis.

Same exact thing has happened to me for the past few hours. I'm calling it quits for today.

have you tried the oil+fire combo? his first phase is pretty straight forward. for the second phase i used the music box to stun him and so he can transform faster. during his last stage i used the oil+fire combo. it took me a long-ass time to down him, too.

35 minutes left to wait... O.O I'm tired, I'm cold and my attempt to take a nap earlier failed miserably.

Do you think I can get 4 hours out of a half downloaded game?

Spend a couple hours of attempts at first using the axe, then got the kirkhammer +2 to mix things up and about three hours of boss attempts on that. Nothing like this has ever happened in a DS game. :/

You're on the right track. VIT and END are key, focus on one of the main stats then add points to Bloodtinge and Arcane as you feel like it

Use the tiny music box on second form and quickly follow up with molotovs to finish him off. Be fast

Can we try to beat him together?

I was having major issues..
.I doused him in oil and hit him with 2 fire bombs.

UPS has delivered.

BestBuy came through.

Today's my Daughter's Bday so going to spend some time with my Firstborne, then die many times in Bloodborne! :D hype

Just cheese him using the tombstones. Lock on to him and after he
fires a shot at you, go out and hit him a few times and then run back behind a tombstone. There's a few that are clustered together kind of like a mini pillar. When he decides to use his axe primarily, just parry the shit out of him. Parries are the way you trivialize this boss.

Mah goodness, screw these werewolves. I left brick dude alone because I figured he'd stay at the door. Nope, greeted with a brick into the back of my skull. I still killed him, though.

Are you using the hammer form or the sword? You'll probably want a faster weapon plus a gun for that fight

Summon someone outside near where the giant pushes the fireball. You have to use the bell in areas that a lot of players will be otherwise no one will be near you to answer it. I summoned and then waited a few minutes and someone joined.

I hope I have better luck against the first boss tonight. I really want to beat it, but I couldn't get a handle of the fight at all yesterday.

Just beat the first boss. Went through a ton of vials at first but figured out his pattern and managed to finish him off faster near the end

Ripostes are truly the key in that fight. I kited him around the gravestones to nullify his shotty, and when he rushed me, I shot him to stun him. You can stun his beast form too. If you can pull it off, you can kill him in 6 or so parries. Timing is rough as hell though. Sometimes I got so nervous, I wasted all my ammo without a single stun.

I sent one to the clinic instead..went there to check on them and yeah..I think I'll be sending them to the chapel in the future, there's definitely foul play going on at the clinic, dat ominous laugh. although the NPC at the chapel doesn't look too friendly himself
Thanks, should I be
able to send people to the clinc now? I can only send them to the creepy church
All my friends say Axe is OP.

Edit: Obligatory Top of Page Commendation.

Some people, who are kinda new to the souls game, I talk to said they dislike the axe and felt it was better using the saw cleaver. Personally I started with the axe and still using it.
