Put in about 13 hours and 50ish minutes since the unlock yesterday. What an utterly fantastic game. I played 3 hours at the midnight launch and then went to sleep. Picked it up back around 9-10 this morning and didn't put it down except to eat. The time just flew right on by.
how far did you get? I did something similar. :p
going right now for the 5th boss then I'll probably call it a day.

Finally sat down with bloodborne for three hours tonight. I am amazed how tightly the map design comes back onto itself. Even more so than dark souls 1 I find myself opening a gate to say "oh I know where we are!" Really fantastic. 1 shot both first two bosses, which was nice, got clobbered a few times in the next area.
I forgot what it was like to be fighting dangerous enemies, and in such large packs too.

Feels very different. Makes you play aggressively. I'm not far enough into the game to see which I prefer yet. But game is very good!

Yeah it might be a divisive game. If you squatted on the triangle (Y) button like I did, this game might feel like second nature. Otherwise, maybe a big adjustment.

Once again, I'm so, so sorry for the anti-climatic bullshit that obviously had to happen. I got robbed. We all did...
Why isn't your VOD up yet >:(
Wow, more bad news... apparently when streaming from PS4, vods doesn't save. Not even for a second... all of that content, gone :(

Take care everyone, thanks for watching. You guys have been the best. I'll be streaming again when the download is finished and I'm back from college. So in like 13h.
Is Yoshichan streaming with a camera? Someone please capture his reaction when the game tells him he can't progress until its fully installed
Ask, and ye shall receive :(((

Fuck I could picture earlier where I needed to go to get the music box but now I forget. The area I thought was wrong.

(Directions to music box)
From sewer area with circular room and 5-6 crawling torsos huddled in the middle, take ladder up to small intermediary platform. Take second ladder up to second layer of Yarnam. Kill Solomon Grundy on left. Take final ladder up. Music box is in house immediately at top of ladder.

Load times aren't bothering me at all and for me they're relatively fast (around 20 seconds)

Beat Cleric Beast first try. Two try for the second boss.

How do I get my first weapon? Tired of my fists.

When do I get a weapon? I feel like I missed it somehow...

You did... you get your first weapon at the very beginning of the game after you die for the first time. On the steps in the hunters dream there are 3 "bloodstains" (or w/e they are in this game) that let you pick your weapons.

Maybe like... 5 minutes into the game. ;-)

*Mind Blown*

Was this in one of the tutorial tips that I just missed?

Sure was!

It also in the "I'm playing a new Souls game for the first time so I'm going to test all the buttons and see what they do" that you missed. ;-)

I'm 3 bosses in and I feel pretty confident that the game is a masterpiece. I can't get over how fun and interesting it is. Lots of interesting story mysteries too.

Surprise post-death spoiler (happens 3 bosses in.)
I got killed by an enemy and woke up in a place called the unseen city. Huge difficulty spike. I'm clearly not supposed to be here, but it's so creepy and exciting. This is where the Cthulu stuff seems to kick in. That area hides the Darkbeast Paarl fight. Any thoughts?

Is there a beginners guide to us Souls n00bs? Reading through the OT, I'm just scratching my head trying to figure out how to manage myself in BB.

If you can find some beginners tips for Dark Souls, most of those apply to this game. Be patient, stop playing if you get frustrated, always save enough stamina to dodge away while you are attacking.

Could someone explain the multiplayer to me? I haven't played any of the Souls games and have bought BB more or less blind, on the assumption that it was a purely single player game.

Now a friend is telling me that there's a multiplayer component and something to do with ringing bells and passwords? Also, can the game be played entirely multiplayer, or is it kind of an asynchronous experience?

Thanks! Is this something I should start leveling early on? I'm about to get to the second boss.

I'd wait a bit, but you can just experiment now if you want. It doesn't hurt to put points into Vitality and Endurance. And points for whatever weapon you are comfortable using now. You might pick up some weapons that may need stats in Bloodtinge or Arcane.

Went to my best buy to pick up my collectors. My collectors has been lost by FedEx apparently and they can't guarantee me I will ever get it, thank you for sending me a my order is ready for pick up email best buy.

Sounds fishy as hell. I hope you got (or will get) the FedEx tracking number to confirm it's lost and not just some BB employee trying to swipe your CE. I've worked for BB, seen this happen first hand.

Guys, the game tells me I can't go online because the game hasn't been fully installed yet?

Any clues?

Digital version, EU user.

Not very far lol. Just a bit before the fourth boss I think. I struggled hard on the third boss until I finally set my eyes on the Axe and used it. Did a bit of Chalice Dungeons with buddies too. Was pretty cool.

Is there a way to turn off the game auto refilling your blood vials/bullets to 20 every time you die? Because I want to keep them in storage, not lose everything I've accumulated so far when I know I'm going to be fighting something that will probably kill me a few times until I get the hang of it. And going back to the hub and storing the excess vials/bullets is getting tiresome. (And I've only had to do it twice!)

I had the same issue, but discovered that every blood vial / quicksilver bullet that you pick up after you max out at 20, goes directly into your storage overflow. Thats why when you pick something up (when that item is at max 20), you see a little box icon next to the item icon when you loot it.

That was a relief to discover.

Wow missed that haha. Thanks

I'm kind of wondering if I accidentally skipped the 2nd boss and fought the 3rd one instead. Dunno though, not reading guides or anything. Boss:
the hunter in the cemetery

After four fights, I finally started figuring him out until I got stuck in level geometry and that's enough for the first night. =/

My 65VT60 is hating the HUD too. I already foresee the blood and insight icons being IR'ed for months to come. Turning it off isn't very realistic since you lose the hp/stamina bars also.

edit: I'm also completely out of bullets from running back to the boss that many times. What's the best way to get more? All the enemies seem to only drop health potions and I already have like 100 of those in storage. Just grind, head back and buy them from the vender?
