SCE may very well of spoken to SEGA about it but there's been no recognition of a partnership or help from SCE iirc.
DIdn't Adam Boys himself say Persona 5 was coming to PS4 this year multiple times? I'm pretty sure they have help and a partnership. The game was supposed to come out last year, there's literally no reason to delay the game for so long unless you commissioned to work on another version near the end of development right?

Love it. Feels like PS2 days again.
Any chance we'll be getting yakuza Isshin or Yakuza Zero localization on the next PSExperience?

Well I don't want to raise your hopes too much but...
By Verendus.
Well I love japanese games but:
- Still no word on Ps4 Yakuza's comming to the west
- Star Ocean isn't confirmed (as far as I know) for a western release
- Does deep down still exists?
- Dragon Dogma online isn't confirmed for the west
- Also, did Sony partner up with Capcom for Dragon Dogma online? Because so far the game is japan only and for that market it makes sense to just ignore the X1/X360
- With the whole thing about Kojima, Silent Hills is either dead or has just lost any reason to be excited about it
Bloodborne and Persona 5 are great deals though
Still, It's allways great to see Sony doing stuff with japanese devs and I hope they continue to do so. I hope they mangage to do something with Platinums in a few years once they are done with Scalebound
Kojima
and then Kojima makes millions for Sony
Konami cries
I wish this was true. It's doing well but not that much.
GoodMore to come
Good guy Sony trying to keep Japanese gaming alive. Waiting eagerly for announcements of Capcom and Konami buyouts.
Kagari, who has ties with S-E, confirmed it.Where was it confirmed that Sony was helping with star ocean?

Keeping their home market alive while providing a unique proposition for western gamers (Microsoft doesn't have much and Nintendo's mostly first-party on home consoles). Makes perfect sense to me.

Even if they aren't big sellers anymore I think Sony realises that these games can set them apart from Xbox at a time when nearly everything is multiplatform. They're also probably quite easy to secure due to japanese install base and therefore cheaper than securing western exclusives.

I also hope its a realisation that they don't need to invest AAA budget amounts into every game for them to turn over profits.
Well yeah, TR2013 had to shell out a lot of dough for that TressFX engine.This.
I'd be very, very curious what the budget on Bloodborne was. My bet is that it's profitable at many fewer copies sold than something like Tomb Raider 2013 or DmC.
Considering the terms of the take-over, SCE wouldn't have profited from this. Microsoft buying Minecraft is mostly a way for them to turn a bit of their money into more money, not some Xbox support move.Too bad SCE couldn't buy Mojang, since Minecraft is actually really popular here in Japan. Especially for the kids, Steve has the following for sure on this side of the pacific.

Hrist needs a game.
If Sony have a brain cell between the executives they should have hired the entire Kojima team (Kojipro or whatever it's called), hired anyone else necessary and diverted a few million dollars to their next project.
However I actually think Microsoft will snap up Kojima for something.
