Bloodborne |OT+++| ...and so the Nightly Hunt continues

How did you reach level 95 at that part, I just tested Eb and I'm level 57.

It was the last boss I did before taking on the final story boss. I missed that area earlier in the game.

Man, E
brietas
. I just can't do it. I always get hit by her shit arm sweeps. I co-oped with two people (thank god it's finally working today) and got killed both times because the game is halving my health when co-oping. Is there anything I can do to prevent that halving from happening? It basically means she one-shots me with the vast majority of her attacks.

I just beat Rom and I'm exploring the new area and everything is in
respawn mode and you have those giant ass spider things on the walls trying to kill me. WTF

The key to that area are the bell maidens. They're the ones who buff the enemies' health and respawn them. Spend all your echoes on leveling up/vials/whatever and devote a few runs to running like hell around the map and finding the maidens. There's a couple that are somewhat hidden from view, but if you listen close you can kind of triangulate where they are based on their sound.

Once you kill the maidens all the enemies in that small vicinity will have "regular" health and will stay dead. If you encounter respawning again it means there's another maiden nearby.

Whew. I had decided to give up on platinum after starting on the defiled chalice dungeon. Just made another attempt on the first boss out of curiosity and managed to beat her using repeating parry/riposte. I can't even believe how many attempts that was, and supposedly, the other bosses are much worse. Idk why I'm still doing this, but this fkn game just gets its hooks in.

Is there any compelling reason to explore the entire defiled dungeon? I'd prefer to just make boss runs if possible.
Not really, just skip the Bonus doors and head straight to the bosses. The Defiled Dungeon needed for the trophy doesn't contain anything of note.

Just about finished up.

One side thing to finish then its off to the final boss.

Do chalice dungeons carry over into NG+? Do they get harder when you do that or is that just tied to the depth?

Grats on cleansing the streets.

What level is this stuff? I'm kinda scared of my PvP build because comparing numbers from every video I've seen would 1shot everyone, and I actually like the fight/tension.

This is what has happened me. I had two other matches apart from the one above, and I wrecked my opponent both times. I'm way too overleveled (lvl 154) and started PvP too late.

I just beat her. I would suggest not co-oping for the fight.
Just stay in front of her but not too close. Stay locked on. When she does her arm swings back up with circle. When she charges, tap circle twice while angling to the left and she should miss you. Do not get greedy. You can only hit her when her head is down. When her head slams into the ground, you should be able to get off a charged R2 attack. Two of those will set her up for a visceral attack. When she fires lasers, run laterally rather than in a straight line away from her.

Man,
Upper Cathedral Ward
is kicking my backside. The
Mind Flayer-types
only have to scratch me to initiate their one-hit-kill brain vacuum animation. .

Same here :P

My matches are really fast but the ones that are prolonged are either people running away from me and healing or a duel where we both cant whittle each other down.

Addicting shit.

Lol. I had one earlier that lasted 6 minutes, but it really shouldn't have. Every time I landed a hit it took away at least 25% of his health, but he just kept dancing away. Eventually he legged it due to being low on vials, and pitifully died to poison.

i had two invasions ...funny enough I was like level 210 at the time at NG+ n
ightmare
m
ensis
.

Wrecked both with burial blades +10.

PvP is a lot of fun...just doesn't seem to happen, have 2 characters to PvP with on at lvl 55 other at 110, first matches happen quick, but subsequent ones take 5-10 minutes unfortunately, happens for both characters and I am in nightmare of mensis and frontier with my sinister bell ringing women up and ringing my own sinister bell....tried zoning out, switching between the two, just takes so long in between after those first couple matches.

How does that work? Go into the G
erhman
fight with no cords for ending 1, one cord for ending 2 and so on all the way to three cords and true ending?

It depends on how you answer to his proposal. If you accept, ending 1. If you refuse, ending 2. If you refuse, having consumed the 3 thirds of umbilical cord previously, you will activate the third ending. I would do 1,2 and 3 in that order, since you get to keep the weapon he allows you to buy.

Oh my god lol E

and I killed each other at the exact same time but I got the kill lol. That damn laser attack...

Thanks guys! I'll definitely try
playing very conservatively, e.g., hitting her when her head is down. I feel like most of the time the sweeping arms come at a time when I'm winding down from my attack so I can't even dodge. I also never tried charged R2s when she slams her head into the ground, which should probably take off quite a bit.

BTW, I wasn't summoning people to help me, I was going in to help others and to get some practice. It's good practice but the reduced health makes most of her attacks one-shot (I got one-shotted by one of the laser attacks) and I end up losing tons of vials in what are supposed to be practice runs.

Great, thanks!

You're welcome!

I was trying to get nr.3, but as it turns out, I killed someone I shouldn't have, at the *wrong time* and screwed myself out of the ending. Didn't make it any better that I wasn´t exactly sure on where to send people over to safety. *Sigh*

But will try to get two of them now, and the last on NG+. I never get the "cool" endings on first playthroughs, always screw up somewhere ;_;

The Dungeons do carry over and they do not scale to ng+.

Good luck!

Fire paper fucks her up

HOLY SHIT.

The
One Reborn
. Summoned someone, he died within 30 seconds while I was killing the bell ringing women.

One on one and I won, holy crap that was so tense. Out of vials too!

edit: Really wanted to save the video and I forgot :( :(

edit:

How the hell did I miss
Matryr, and darkbeast?

Is there a guide somewhere on how to backup and then re-use saves from the cloud? Never done it before.

Can anyone link me to the best list of Chalice Glyph's, and fill me in on how they work? Only thing it mentions in the OP is that you need to complete the type of dungeon the Glyph belongs to before you can use one?

Man, my two least-favorite staples of From Soft games in back to back areas
spiders (especially bosses) and re-animated enemies
. Ugh.

Go to application save data management in the settings. Choose the first option, "saved data in system storage" to backup to usb/cloud. When you want to load your backup, choose the saved data in online storage or usb storage and overwrite. Hope that helps!

Got it. Thanks!

Anyone got tips to beating
Pthumerian Descendant
in the final Chalice dungeon? I tried using Ludwigs Holy Blade through the pillars and I never hit it but it gets me.

That fight was difficult for me compared to the next two. I recommend rolling into his attacks do that you end up behind him if you can't parry him. He is ruthless with those blades.

I have tried that and it has been successful but you are right he is ruthless with the blades and thats when I get ripped apart. I'll keep giving it a go.
