Again, you having some moment in Senegal doesn't mean that everyone else feels the same. I have no idea where this belief from some that Africa is a land of milk and honey that black people should run to came from but it's nonsense. I, and many other black people, have no first-hand connection to any place in Africa beyond the vague knowledge that a very distant ancestor was from there. We don't speak any of the languages, weren't raised in the culture, and have no idea what it's truly like to be any of the people living on the continent. And running away to some place where you are an outsider doesn't solve any problems. Plus, if you wanna take this thought experiment seriously, a large group of people coming over from the U.S. to settle somewhere in Africa would create a new set of problems.

Quite a few of the countries in West Africa WANT us to come back. Mind you, their reasoning is that we would be bringing American resources and knowledge and education with us, so they see it as a win on their side. I rather try a new culture than stay in one that values my life less than a dog. Also, plenty of people in Senegal speak English. Not well, but they do. I look it at like I get to be among people that look like me in a country run top to bottom by people that look like me, and I get to put my knowledge and resources into helping those without those things be competitive in the global marketplace. Hell, I just don't see the point in trying to fix a system that in its very fabric and soul will never see us equally.

From perspective, yeah, the US will never see us as equals until we take an equal amount of power. And THAT's not happening without some really uncomfortable shit.

Nigeria has it's own set of problems, as any nation. Xenophobia, religious politics dominating the hearts and minds, widespread corporate and government corruption.

I'm sure Senegal has it's own set of problems as well. Really, it's about which problems you're comfortable dealing with. The oppression you get used to, to paraphrase Assata.

It wouldn't hurt more US citizens to travel to Africa countries though, regardless of if you want to leave the US or not. If only to help US citizens realize not all Africans are sitting around in huts with flies over their heads.

Why would a criminal organization want to draw more heat to themselves by becoming cop killers? Especially when one of their own wasn't killed? Propaganda more people in this town are eating up like pig slop. People who aren't from here are acting like it was apocalyptic race war. The poor baseball fans who were being cordoned in by thug protesters? Not really the case, drunken white boys were the agitators in this instance, misleading pictures without any solid backstory. It's nuts, and people accept it as truth.

I do play with them. Made to 2nd place once and the rest i come in at 6th or 7th.
This is what happens when i drop Mario Kart for a couple of months and that they are very good too. Still fun matches.

I realized real quick that my chopper with the flames i have been rocking since day one does not cut it at all in 200cc. Thankfully the first thing i changed to seemed to be much better.

Exactly. Good run ins only highlight how depraved the other cops are. The good cops highlight how bad the others are. The good cops should be demanding excision of the bad ones. They let them fester.

Over the weekend, I was thinking about the destruction of unions and how it affects the common worker. Then I remembered how often unions fuck up; allow or encourage racism, sexism and condones terrible behavior. On all levels. Could be a great force for good but they loose respect when they defend the shitty practices or terrible workers. Right to work is law in the south, where wages are the worst. People voting against their own interests because of how bad unions can be. I still remember the SEPTA strike of 2009, right in the middle of the recession. They wanted to protect their Viagra. $10 per pill, during a recession and they are fighting over dick pills.

Or, police unions just constantly ignore bad felonies by their members and fight to the death. At some point, unions could die. And no fucks will be given.

Funny thing is, some folks are trying to get an IT union started. I keep telling folks who think that it's a good idea, its gonna be nothing but helpdesk workers, because anyone who has sysadmin skills or higher has no reason to join when their emails are overflowing with recruiters and can walk off one job and into another in the same week, sometimes same day.

Cmon Oprah... why is that I would ask? Because we never had a proper education on an equal plane to begin with. Its not like she would have lost much giving it a try, thats so wack of her.... The one person who could actually make a difference and yet be so selfish.

A school would be first place to start. The solution to all this is a complete black out. Black Teachers, Black Professors, Black Coaches, Black Tutors, Black Business Owners, Black Politicians, We need more Black faces amongst upper society positions.

More Black owners of establishments. More Black leaders in their respective fields.

Its the only way any of this changes. We truly need to start focusing on our own community and really stop caring about what white people think. Its gotten us nowhere.
