Again, you having some moment in Senegal doesn't mean that everyone else feels the same. I have no idea where this belief from some that Africa is a land of milk and honey that black people should run to came from but it's nonsense. I, and many other black people, have no first-hand connection to any place in Africa beyond the vague knowledge that a very distant ancestor was from there. We don't speak any of the languages, weren't raised in the culture, and have no idea what it's truly like to be any of the people living on the continent. And running away to some place where you are an outsider doesn't solve any problems. Plus, if you wanna take this thought experiment seriously, a large group of people coming over from the U.S. to settle somewhere in Africa would create a new set of problems.Yeah, I've never really bought into that "better the devil you know" mentality to justify dealing with bullshit and then potentially raising children in the same bullshit. I'm betting if black people had the financial means and net worth, we could afford to not deal with the bullshit and would be leaving in droves.
