When you are outselling your competition almost two to one you don't need to pay much money to get exclusives games. Developers will come to you for them. Microsoft in the other hand has to pay a lot to get exclusives games.

I expect the opposite, we have three extra conferences this year. It's possible they had to hold their own conference because Sony and Microsoft are focusing on first party.
The possibilities are endless. Maybe the next *gasp* Hyperdimension Neptunia game will be PS4 exclusive! I'm getting light-headed just at the thought of it.
I meant in terms of the franchise as a whole going exclusive. Street Fighter has a history on both PlayStation & Xbox, and it going PS only (with PC) received a lot less outrage from the community. Maybe it's because PC is a viable alternative if one didn't want to pick up an opposing console, maybe it's because PS is the more popular platform, maybe it's Tomb Raider's history of being PS-only then moving to Xbox, I dunno. You are right however, I expect the 'unprecedented partnerships' to continue going forward.
It depends. For both Sony (the deal maker) & any IP holder (say Capcom for example), it's all about balancing risk. Sony is the one taking the financial risk away from the IP holder, to try and secure and exclusive for their platform. I'd say it's more about how likely it is that the game will make a profit rather than how much money Sony has to throw at it, because the two partners will set the budget accordingly. With money from game sales as well as PS4 sales, if the title makes them a profit, they split the dough between themselves and both sides walk away satisfied.

I think there always was some game that was supposed to come out near Uncharted and revealed this E3, but nothing to "replace" it, no.

I doubt MS want to bankroll another bomba, they got their exclusive for the holidays and will move on.
Also why are people so sure about an Uncharted collection at E3?
I mean sure it's a good idea for Sony but we've heard literally zero hints about it
and I don't know which external studio could handle such a massive project in such a short timeframe.
I think people bring this up as a counter to Halo MCC/any reason for PlayStation to have a "big" holiday 2015 exclusive.

Not exactly. They were leaked as PS4 exclusives, and the image itself was proven fake iirc.
Serious about everything except the "amiibo" responses for Nintendo. I love amiibos and have all of them up to now, but I do feel that they've come to lean on that way too much as it's obviously making them a lot of money, so I'm a bit salty about that.
I feel like anything significant Sony will show will be at PSX and not at E3. Whereas, MS has no show like PSX and will therefore blow everything they've got at E3.
Also I'm tired of delusional people thinking (desperately hoping?) there will be something huge to magically replace UC4 and R&C for the holidays. That would be messed up to rush something out that was supposed to come out early next year to this holiday and shorten it's marketing campaign just to make up for the delays of those games.
I've had this conversation in other threads with people who kept claiming it's totally possible for a huge game that nobody has heard of to suddenly appear 5 months before release, but when asked for examples all I got were "LBP3" and "GT6". LBP3, a game not even made by its original developer is defined by literally no one as a big game capable of filling absences like UC4 and R&C. While GT6 was brought up well before its "official" announcement. Nobody could produce any more examples of big games announced only a short 5 months before they were scheduled to release.
Sony will likely fill their entire show with 3rd party marketing deals and LOTS of indies. I love indies so that's awesome. I feel like when I say this though, people for some reason treat it like some sort of slight. Maybe they hate indies?
P.S TLG really doesn't exist despite what Shu and Rohde want people to believe. I will not have my heart broken for, what the 8th time now?
