Splatoon |OT| Squidstyler

Decided to try out the Dynamo Roller I just unlocked, it'll be my first time using a roller in the actual game so we'll see how that goes.
The Dynamo Roller is the real shotgun roller. It's so good. It's best to use some Ink Saver (Main).

And remember, using your special weapon will refill your ink, so if you run out, just click the right-stick. And it even allows you to not stop if you happen to run out of ink unlike the other roller special weapons.
I'm surprised there's no firehose like weapon which just automatically unloads all your ink in one go.

Unless there's something similar at higher levels that I don't know of.
All your ink in one go? That sounds ridiculously OP and not useful for covering turf.

Thanks for the tips! Not gonna lie, your domination with it against me played a big role in convincing me to at least give it a shot, haha.

Had a lot of games today.

Controls are a little better thanks to whoever recommended +2 sensitivity.

I still do not have a weapon I jive with. I can get 800-1000 on a good game via the roller, but on my bad games I get in that 500-700 gap, and am negative K-D wise usually too.

Also, how does the Kraken Roller work? The Kraken ability, does it kill? What do I have to hit? I only used it once, but then started to mess more with guns. No gun jives with me yet. I feel like I need something that goes far, but I am sort of ass with that "sniper" that charges up. I don't think it's a 1 shot kill charged up is it? I could've sworn I had someone perfectly lined up, fully charged, let it rip, and no kill... Hmmmm.

Played more SP too. Second boss was so damn easy. I mean so was the first, but it was a downgrade in terms of difficulty. Hoping the game ramps it up a little.

Also, is there a list somewhere of what some of these gear stats do, and the amount it boosts?

I can't get over how fast this game plays when you figure the motion controls out.

Holy fuck, amazing for a console shooter. SO SMOOTH AND FLUID.

Which Dynamo Roller do you use? And do you need to do story mode to get it? I have the guide but Prima's Prima so I want to be sure.

The Kraken can kill when you jump into an enemy.

There is a list of the gear stats somewhere in the menu when you're at the lobby, but I don't remember exactly where. Unfortunately I don't think it lists boost amounts.

Oh lol, thanks. What was your in-game name?

That was actually my first session (though a really long session) of using a roller in the full game. I actually used it to see how bad it is, but then it suddenly clicked and became a lot of fun to use.

The normal one. The Sprinkler allows you to easily fill up your special meter which will be helpful for when you happen to run out of ink.

The Echolocator can also really help with being sneaky due to knowing the position of your enemies.

And yea, you have to do the story mode to get it.

This game is freaking sweet. It's bite-sized and has less content than the average online multiplayer shooting game, but it has this addictive quality to it that makes you constantly want to play. Feels like a bite-sized online shooting game where the goals are drastically different than the conventional deathmatch goal.

Hyrule_Hero. I probably should change it to something like my GAF name, but the full one doesn't fit. I guess Phoenix would be distinguishable enough..

They really need to let you access options while in a lobby waiting for a match. My daughter and I both like out aiming differently, and there's no way to switch without backing all the way out of a lobby.

Also the ability to switch weapons between rounds would be nice.

Ohh yea, I remember you using an Aerospray, I think. Maybe you can try PhnxDawn? Though it's not really necessary.
You know that moving platform on Saltspray? Put a sprinkler on it
pls
So all of you terrible Sprinkler lovers out there. Throw it on the moving crane part on Saltspray Rig. You're welcome.

Since you need to use the gamepad at all times, couldn't you simply, I dunno, just swipe it around? One tap switches the screen from the map to a gear station, and you could swipe it to change your loadout.

Wouldn't take more than 15 seconds if you already have something in mind and it could be done in-game if not in-between matches as to not hinder the wait time.
