Uncharted 4: A Thief's End Gameplay (E3 2015)

Detail from the Live interview of Neil and Bruce with Geoff: there's a story spoiler in the full demo, of what happens after the car chase. So if you're in blackout, you might want to avoid that and threads on it.

Somehow... not only did this game convince me to get this day 1 but also the Nathan Drake collection. And I have all the games.

I think I was just reminded how good Uncharted actually is.

It's fine to dislike things you silly goose and disliking things with hyperbole can be fun. Games don't have to be serious business.
Generally, when I dislike something I try to do it without griefing those who do like it, just for the sake of being contrarian. But, if this is your definition of fun, by all means, PM me the next time your enjoying a game so I can come into the discussion and just vacuously criticize it like you have here. I can claim "x is a hot mess" with no real justification just like you can. We'll have fun!

Seriously, your definition of "fun" leaves me completely unsurprised as to why you don't like a game like Uncharted.

As the scope of that area just grew and grew, it felt like Naughty Dog was basically saying, "We've built a chunk of Rockstar sandbox just for this short part of the game. Look forward to passing through it next time you replay!"

I never actually took the time to spot it or not- the enemies don't react to gunshots besides taking damage and being momentarily hindered? They don't actually react to being shot in certain places, do they? Got .gif? Obviously they're still sponges, but... I need to rewatch some of the gunplay.

Your post made a ridiculous comparison that you knew would get people worked up, congrats for succeeding

If you think your post has merit then i would say you havent watched the demo.

Everyone else can tell, yet you can't?

Add this to your previous comment... I'm noticing a pattern

lol for fucks sake. All I did was point out that previous games in the series had destructible cover. That's it. I wasn't comparing shit and I sure as hell wasn't criticizing the game in any way. Put your fucking pitchforks away.

Yep, I'm considering getting the collection just to get all the full HD goodness and the beta now.

I found the world to be jaw dropping. So much detail in everything. I don't think people really appreciate that fact since this E3 has been bomb central.

Gameplay-wise, it is more of the same. Except you can drive for a bit. :P

We already know from the first trailer some of the many changes.

Actually as a huge critic of the Uncharted series, some of the stuff they're doing with the level design and items you can use in combat vastly expand how you can approach scenarios. As a result, it's the first UC game I am genuinely interested in from the get go.

Cautiously optimistic.

Quantic Dream I think will be present at the Paris Games Week along Media Molecule. I think someone from SSM implied that we will see more of new GoW during this years Playstation Experience.

PSX man which is in December plus that paris thing their doing.

Man that was amazing.

They already had The Last Guardian, Shenmue 3, FFVII and Horizon. They can't show everything at E3

QD game is a lock for the Paris show and GOW4 is definitely going at PSX. They've pretty much spelled that out.

What is this Paris event everyone talks about? I know GamesCom in Germany. Is it the Micromania show? When will this happen?

Level of detail and interactivity with the environment was amazing.... until he drove into the water producing barely a ripple

You are using that to define what I think is fun? You are taking this far too seriously.

So Bruce Strately, Director of UC4 and the person demoing UC4 at E3 tweeted:

I just lost about 38 years of my life from that demo. #uncharted4 #livedemo #freakingout

Back-up kits ftw #uncharted4 #e3

I thought they had reverted to a video of the gameplay but it seems that wasn't the case and he was playing it live.

It looked great, but I'm a bit burnt out on uncharted and it seemed a bit samey.

I see this all the time but I never understand it.

For a game like uncharted, what was something new that you wanted to see? This is a honest question and not to put you on the spot. I'm just interested in what you would do different.

One of the best live e3 demo i've seen.I dont think this conference would be topped actually feel bad for Microsoft/Nintendo

This was exactly the type of demo I wanted to see from Uncharted. It didn't give away a major setpiece moment but also showed added destruction, kinetic combat, new mechanics in driving, and the melee improvements. Didn't have the sheer wow factor of some other ones but I'm really glad that this game is getting played closer to the chest than 3 where they showed ever setpiece before launch.

Also excited as hell to see Sully again.

I can't believe they would make a world so detailed and you probably don't even explore that area. I would love to just drive around and have fun in that town. But I bet you can't :(

Looks amazing, cannot wait for this.

This demo was just wow...I just cannot believe they'd put so much time and effort in to background elements, and making everything feel so vibrant and rich, all when you're essentially speeding through it. The attention to detail is insane. Bravo ND, Bravo.
