At first i thought he was a joke, but now i want him to win the whole thing. If we survive, it will be a hilarious 4 years.

I'm unfamiliar with the primary voting rules for California. I'm a registered D, but would I be able to vote for Trump in the CA primary? I need to help see him through to the end. I need more of this. MORE. MORE!!!

Was Trump sexist with this particular comment about Kelly? Probably not. However, it doesn't really matter because he's quite obviously sexist while making other comments. The thing though is that this isn't the general election; it's the Repulican primary and sexist comments aren't going to do much to weaken Trump's support. Fox and the rest of the Republican establishment has primed its supporters to accept someone exactly like Trump: rich, abrasive, anti-establishment, racist, sexist, and unapologetic.

I just think it's pointless to categorize him as a particular kind of loon, because he will attack anyone without any care in the world. And it is extremely entertaining.

He is like a suicide bomber that refuses to die as the normal laws of media don't apply to him. Any other person in his position, a well known billionaire, would have backed down and asked for forgiveness after the whole Mexican debacle. But now he is successfully going against Kelly and Fox News, with more vitriol than the likes of Jon Stewart.

This man doxxed a fucking US senator, implied that McCain is not a war hero and also said that Perry is an idiot (a person who is basically pretending to be smart via wearing glasses). And he is winning....he is winning. Of course he is winning, this is what the public wants!

Roger Stone: I Wasn’t Fired, I Quit, Trump’s Losing Grip on Reality

Stone had become increasingly fed-up with Trump’s controversies, his personality, and his confidence in uncertain poll numbers. Stone reportedly warned Trump not to go after Megan Kelly, but after he did so, his friends said he came to them with his frustration.

“He is losing his grip on reality,” Stone said. “He has these yes-men around him. And now he’s living in a parallel world.

Really?

His joke basically boils down to dismissing her because she's a woman who might have been on her period.

How in he world is that not the epitome of sexism?

Not to mention is the kind of sexist attitude that is rampant among powerful men in the business world and leads to institutionalized sexism; which Trump is a part of.

4Tran obviously believes Trump wasn't referring to her period.

LOL, possibly the funniest post of the thread.

The same Megyn Kelly that said this in the most serious of manners(just a glimmer of her journalistic integrity), and I quote, "And by the way, for all you kids watching at home, Santa just is white. But this person is maybe just arguing that we should also have a black Santa. But, you know, Santa is what he is, and just so you know, we’re just debating this because someone wrote about it, kids.

Just because it makes you feel uncomfortable doesn’t mean it has to change. You know, I mean, Jesus was a white man too. He was a historical figure; that’s a verifiable fact – as is Santa, I want you kids watching to know that."

Clowns. Pretty much all of them.

I don't see how him attacking Kelly changes anything. It seems like Kelly and Fox made it clear enough that a line was drawn and they were going to actively try to destroy him. What does it matter if Trump swings back?

Because you are not allowed to attack these well known media personalities as a candidate, it is not seen as "presidential".

But the reality is that Trump is only exposing this whole illusion, he is demonstrating that all these people are clowns that deserve no respect. Be it the other candidates, Kelly, Erickson or any other person who operates within the confines of this broken system. Roger Stone was probably just another person who was willing to use the occasion in order to make some political gains but at the same did not want to annoy Fox News - your average political consultant.

If it is true that Trump only has "yes" men around him, then he will continue to operate without holding back. I fail to see how this is a problem for all those who enjoy the ride.

I mean, he swung back like a complete buffoon, but that's par for the course really, and it's made for some decent entertainment.

Wouldn't be surprised if the GOP establishment threaten to blacklist any political operatives working on Trump's campaign.

Because it obviously paints them in a biased light. Not a good thing for a news media, but that's the way things run.

If Trump can somehow survive until the next debate that is going to make this last one look like nothing.

Please survive until then Trump. Please!

Fighting back actually strengthens Trump's position. Not only does it build his spin that the media is out to get him, it creates a split in the Republican party around pro-Trump and anti-Trump camps, and it makes him the sole focus of the Republican primary. At this point, barely anyone even really cares about who won the debate any more because Trump dominates the narrative so strongly.

I'm weary of predicting this is the end of Trump. Last time I did he vaulted to the number one spot in the GOP race. I will say that these comments, coupled with his performance in the debates represent a turning point in his campaign. It's all downhill from here. He has peaked and as most of us suspected, Trump's own downfall is a result of his own mouth. I eagerly await the poll numbers next week and I suspect damage has been done. Instead of 20%+, I think he's looking at 10-15%.

Going to vote for King Trump. Even though he has some stupid views, you've got to admit that the guy knows how to win.

I'd like to see him get the Republican nomination and then call for a constitutional amendment to remove political campaign contributions while also expressing his support for universal health care. At the same time Obama would have to ponder the possibility that Donald Trump might snatch his biggest legacy act while simultaneously every molecule within the conservative universe would explode at the speed of light.

It is more likely that this will all end in some horrible fashion like all reality shows where the star has a mental breakdown and everyone simply can not look away.

Why would Trump's numbers go down? His message resonates with a lot of Republicans and he stands way out from the rest of the field. The only thing that would weaken Trump's position is a lack of media coverage, but right now, he's scheduled for all sorts of Sunday talk shows because people want to hear from him.

What's Trump's poll numbers?
He's sitting at about 24%, roughly 10% above anyone else. There haven't been any polls published since the debate though.

I need poll numbers like I need water. I don't think I can go a few more days without. The suspense is absolutely killing me.

Someone in this thread said Kelly was a respected news anchor? And they weren't joking?

Everything about this is gold.

If he was talking about her period, he would have said it. He was just worked up and messed up his colloquial terms.

Yep. Trump's trash but equivocating on insults is not his MO. And in context, it really does make more sense to me that he meant her nose. I...*gulp*...believe him.

Megyn Kelly is that weird kind of hot where you know you should hate her guts because of the things she says but her saying that crap makes her even hotter than she already is and makes you want her more.
