Well, historically, the PS3, PS2 and PS1 have already had pricedrops at this point. It seems like one has to be coming sooner or later, I think they realize that they need to keep PS4 momentum sky high.
Yeah, it was even demoed at E3.
It makes more sense to unveil it in Europe than Japan, since it sells more in Europe than any other area on Earth. Why are people assuming GT7 and even Japan Studio for PGW? Wouldn't it make more sense for them to be in TGS or PSX?
Demoed? Any impressions?

No videogame conference ever will be better than Sony's E3 2015. I mean, Final Fantasy VII remake happened there!
http://blog.eu.playstation.com/2015/06/16/heavy-rain-and-beyond-two-souls-are-coming-to-ps4/Jodies story is a tumultuous one, and one we know touched many of you at the time. On PS4 you will have the opportunity to experience that story played in chronological order, watching Jodie grow from a curious young girl to a powerful woman. Were hoping youll get a kick out of this much-requested mode.
We cant wait to show you what they look like now Well share more details on exactly when and how you can get your hands on these classic games soon!
Zoetis, I don't give a shit about the rest.
Just tell me if GT7 will be there. Please.
not possible.
this was Sony's E3: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rOgXnmgx1IE
no way PGW conference beats that. nobody is beating that conference anytime soon.
So does dropping no context "hints".i've learned that you've to be really carefull at neogaf, spoilers brings you hate and too much a ban.
all i see is nostalgie, i thought neogaf cared about 1st party games i might be wrong tho.

So PGW will be a 1st party festival compared to E3? Nice!!
That Video has TLG,Uncharted 4, dreams, rigs and horizon which are first party games. So yes you are wrong
i know what the 1st party games are.
we knew about uc4 before e3, dreams is a hit or mis, but good to see people hyped about horizon.
in the end nostalgie clearly brought sony e3 to another level.

and hopefully you'll see ff and shenmue before 2030![]()
3 new ips and 1 re reveal and gameplay for an announced ip already made the event v.strong. it was the nostalgia as you say which pushed it to the next level tho
YoshLet's see... Horizon: Zero Dawn, Dreams, Rigs (is that the one?).
You mean the reveal or the game itself?
i think with all the nostalgie bombs nobody would notice dreams missing in their e3 game lineup.

Does this mean our resident bandicoot is returning? ^^

Only one way to avoid a ban now Zoetis. Confirm a GT7 reveal at Pax.
PAX would be the worst timing for it... it may have its own event.![]()
Unfortunately, you are right about that. And until they (MM) are ready to show more of the game and be as transparent as they can about "Dreams" as they with LBP, I hope they (SCE and MM) will do more for the newly announced/created IP.
Not really... he/she was referring to Playstation's E3 conference: FF7 remake, Shenmue 3 and Last Guardian.
and the fact that MM and other 1st 2nd party studio's got snowballed without knowing these nostalgie bombs, they all where like WTF after their conference.
I think I would buy that Beyond: Two Souls remaster, but I don't know what people's problems with the game were? Were the controls that bad, for example?
I've kind of lost excitement for what will be announced, there's a wealth of stuff this fall that may keep me busy and I hope what they announce isn't too far off!!
Naw, people were just too jaded for David Cage's 'Emo-shawn'al writing.I think I would buy that Beyond: Two Souls remaster, but I don't know what people's problems with the game were? Were the controls that bad, for example?
What you are describing sounds like a far more attractive signal to noise ratio for Sony. They have the opportunity to absolutely dominate a well attended trade show.
Is this even possible?

IMO, the perspective of attaching Sonys European press conference to how big PGW is as an event, is flawed.
Weve always been attuned to the idea that its the gaming shows that drive these press conferences, and while its true that there are heightened mainstream attention to these press conferences, being held so close to the respective events, that is just one perspective.
The way Ive always treated Sonys press conferences, is actually looking them as something similar to Nintendo Directs.
Think of it this way :
SCEA has 2 Directs annually. Previously theyve only had 1, but obviously PSX changes this up so now they have 1 mid-year, and 1 year-end. Primary focus is a balance of 1st-party and 3rd-party reveals, since the Direct in the middle of the year coincides with other partners timing to reveal content. PSX is a bit of an unknown quantity at this moment, but in terms of content, it was not inferior to a big press conference.
SCEE has one big Direct in the latter half of the year. Primary focus has always been the quirkier, less mainstream outputs of Sonys 1st-party, with some 3rd-party stuff. Purely from a 1st-party perspective in quantity, SCEEs event always announces the most games.
SCEJA has 3 Directs. China Direct, Asia Direct and Japan Direct.
China Direct & Asia Direct has little relevance to us. Asia Direct is a very small-scale presser mainly to announce localisations, and China Direct as we saw, announces content catered to Chinese market, almost none of which are new announces.
But Japan Direct is interesting, because it is essentially where anywhere from 10-15 new games are announced every year, with a majority of them being Playstation exclusives, because Japan. Granted, maybe 80% of those games dont matter to air quotes GAF air quotes, but its still the only conference on the SCEJA side that announces new games.
So, the way Ive always looked at it is that Sony has 4 tentpole Directs every year, 2 by SCEA, 1 by SCEE and 1 by SCEJA. Where and when those tentpole events take place is not as important as the fact that every year, Sony has the content and the partnerships to hold 4 major press conferences, and more maximum exposure, theyve previously always done it near E3, Gamescom and TGS.
Last year, they mixed things up by basically holding another conference in December. And this year, theyre mixing their timing up by moving their previously Gamescom-slot to October. But that doesnt change the fact that theyre still holding 4 major events this year.
If you treat it from the perspective that this is SCEEs annual big show instead of b-b-but GC>Pgw its a lot more rational IMO.
will this be the event where we get to actually see Mark Cerny again?!
will this be the event where we get to actually see Mark Cerny again?!
Don't think we will see him any time soon again.
Zoetis post makes much more sense now. If he's somewhat ignoring the trinity of announcements at E3 in favor of pure first-party announcements, PGW could definitely be "bigger."
Not to me of course, but I could see why it would be for some people if a bunch of new first party titles were announced.
