As a loyal soldier of Big Boss, I don't think he had a ton of characterization but I've only played then once via the MGS3 Subsistence (?). It doesn't mean his roles in the originals couldn't happen, it just means his was near zealot-loyal to BB.

I am now sure that Gray Fox is indeed the Medic. Who is also Venom Snake. Who is the MC of MGSV. Kojima retconned Gray Fox into having medical knowledge

Cool. It's expected these past few months that the Skulls would be the bosses. Promo material for the COBRA unit came out VERY early on. Dead Cell members were featured in mgs2 pre-release magazines. MGS1 FOXHOUND was in trailer. Even 4 had a trailer that was literally the B&B intro cutscene. But it was radio silence and this is why. Truly this is Peace Walker 2.0, especially with multiple versions of the same boss in different missions.

So if we really don't play as Big Boss, I can see why some reviewers said this game isn't a proper conclusion to series. Instead of BB descent into madness, we get to watch some impostor throwing a tantrum. It was funny having theories that we don't play as BB prior, but now that we this close to release and literally end of an era I think that this is really offputting.

Some of the info from the guide is speculation from the guide makers themselves. We had reviewers telling us that nothing is as it seems.
Why would a guide have speculation? It's to fuck with your brain, to make you believe that you are the medic. Your telling me that a fucking MEDIC wakes up after nine years and has the combat abilities of Big Boss? Yeah fucking right.
Edit: The stuff from PumaWarrior is a bare minimum and even he says the ending is locked away and we don't know what the real ending is. He doesn't want to translate all of the guide.

To be honest I always thought that Kojima will actually do something like that. After 2 games with BB and the player getting to know him and the ending of MGS4 it seems like Kojima wanted to preserve the figure of BB rather than show him as a fallen hero so in order to explain all the shit BB did it and still maintain the hero figure of BB, Kojima will need to introduce a 5th clone (or face replacement) one that would explain why the hate towards BB. I would argue that the biggest twist in the game is going to be that BB was always in a coma and will be until the end of MGS4.
But then again fake spoilers are everywhere.

The only important thing in that section is that they refer to the player character as Ahab and heavily imply that Ishmael is BB. Who Venom is isn't really confirmed but he can't be a clone if his DNA doesn't match Eli's.

In MGS4 they say Big Boss' DNA is not a perfect match for Solid or Liquid. Only Solidus has a perfect match to Big Boss.
Just pointing it out. Maybe there's enough of a DNA relation in relatives (if you can call them that) to still tell they're related.
NANOMACHINES is the answer to MEDIC becoming a master of CQC.

The whole Medic is Venom Snake story element makes no sense. Mainly why no on noticed the difference, why they look the same, and why a medic had the skills to rival Big Boss. Or more importantly, what the hell is Big Boss doing all this time then.

Are you serious? Ever since the release of GZ people have said that Keifer was voicing not just BB but the Medic as well. Even if is a stretch that it can be the case, the argument has been on the table since the release of GZ.
Also why would they spoil the story its all speculation.

It's clear that you're not understanding what some people are writing.
The scans from the guide (and everything they show in them) are real. The fact that Piggyback/Konami/Kojima aren't spoiling who Ishmael is doesn't make it fake - they're purposely saving a surprise for the ending.
What's probably tripping you up is that people are posting speculation/4Chan threads and claiming them to also be spoilers.

Who Venom is isn't as important as the fact that Ishmael is likely the real BB imo.
Also, it's not really speculation. The guide specifically states that Konami asked them not to reveal his identity directly in the guide, meaning they do "know what's going on", especially since it tells you how to find out for yourself. They give not-so-subtle hints here in place of flat-out telling readers. There's no reason to think they're intentionally misleading people.
