In this boat too. I didn't want the plus initially as I thought it was too big and I was worried about the chip not performing well enough with the extra pixels. But after having the 6 for a year I think I'm ready for the size increase.

They've got a bunch of patents for a "smart" stylus that would work with capacitive screens. They've been pretty anti-stylus because of Jobs but the R&D is there and has been for years.
Would have to really impress me for an iPad Pro to entice.

I'm not convinced 2GB is good enough after experiencing how poorly 1GB RAM is on my 6+. It's terrible. Multitasking is nonexistent and Chrome constantly crashes.

Also 2gb RAM has made the iPad Air 2 the best tablet ever. I am sure it will do wonders for the six plus.

Part of the problem is because the 6+ has an underpowered GPU for the pixels it's pushing. Remember that the phone actually renders more than 1920x1080 pixels, but scales it down to 1920x1080, this eats up CPU and GPU resources, unlike the iPhone 6. Multitasking is still very possible but you gotta work around it. I'm sure the 6S with its faster processor and hopefully 2 GB will solve all the problems the 6+ has.
I mean, part of it was the software since iOS 8.4 is leagues better than iOS 8.0 when it first released. God, I would go through tons and tons of Safari crashes or page reloads because of some error. It was so annoying. Now, it doesn't happen as often and the fact that I'm jailbroken and running other tweaks without these issues proves that part of the problem was software wise. However, 2GBs of RAM is something I still want to see since I don't want to worry about having too many apps open all at once and needing to reload often. I think that may be the defining factor on whether I upgrade to the 6S+ or not.
The 6+ was such a good phone, but Apple pretty much botched it with its underpowered specs and awful iOS 8 launch. I really ended up regretting getting it a few weeks afterwards.
For the time being 2 will be plenty.
The iPad Air 2 doesn't experience that.

What's the word on the rumored upres to the screens? Was there any truth to it or are they still expected to be the same as the current phones?

That could be for people even in the 32/64/128 range too. iPhone's have hit the popularity point where parents, and even grandparents have them. It's a large pool of people who don't even know how to store music/movies/data on the thing to begin with.

Really hoping this isn't true. 1080p is perfectly fine at 5.5 inches unless you want VR stuff, I'd rather have the battery life :/

I believe the iPhone renders at a higher resolution then down samples to 1080p, anyway.

Take anything from that site with a grain of salt. They'll write up anything for traffic.
The only reason they still make a 16gb option is to force an upsell to the 64gb model.

The T-Mobile ones are unlocked and SIM free. Don't know for sure since I bought it unlocked and used it on T-Mobile anyway. But my girl used it as a Verizon phone for a little bit while her phone was broken.

Apple isn't going to suddenly move to conventional resolutions and create a further headache for developers. We would have already seen files that point to this change in the iOS 9 beta.

Mobile gaming sucks right now for one reason: no buttons. Add Force Touch and voila, mobile games no longer suck.
Just buy the phone directly from Apple.

Bro I work at Apple. As far as I know, they don't have unlocked phones until like three months after launch. At least, phones listed as "unlocked." Might be able to swing that T-mobile thing
I bought a Sim free tmobile one at launch via Apple. Worked perfectly fine on both TMobile and Verizon.

Are you referring to the haptic feedback that force touch is supposed to bring? Because it's still unsure whether the new iPhones will have any haptic feedback at all.
Crap, I wanted to get the unlocked version Day 1. So the A1524 includes CDMA bands? I guess that's not necessary...

Only matters if you'll ever switch to Sprint or another US CDMA carrier, since I don't think it's popular outside the US at all
Honestly, the only thing truly unlocked offers over T-Mobile is better international support and better resale value for the same cost
And yes, I do believe that truly unlocked iPhones are on about a three months delay, or have been in the past. Though I really want them to change that
They needed the space for force touch assembly and thicker casing. Battery life won't decrease because the new chips will be even more efficient. Apple doesn't care to prioritize battery life since they believe(and they probably have data supporting this) most people get a full days charge.
Yeah, I have only ever been on GSM carriers but I guess it would be convenient to know that my phone would work anywhere in the world. If I pay the full price, I'd like to get the full thing. Here's hoping Apple sells an unlocked version (non-Tmobile) on Day 1.
