Video of the second ending. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED FOR SPOILERS
Ending on Op Intrude N313 is a nice touch but Keifer ruins the entire delivery. Just awful
Isnt Huey still otacons voice still?
Major Zero's VA sounds AMAAAAZING. He's the Best out of all of them. I have no problem with anybody, except for the direction. I didn't feel anything towards Strangelove's death confession, Ocelot of miscast in my opinion, and Huey was beyond annoying.
Yep.Isnt Huey still otacons voice still?
D FoxHuh? D-Dog is no longer a wolf and is a fox now liek the fox of FOX HOUND? Or just a skin ?
Yep.
He speaks in exactly the same manner as Otacon and he shares his son's toilet habits. Super serious and grounded MGS my ass lol.
Everyone talks like a cartoon but when it comes to Big Boss people want to defend the lack of Hayter because super serious MGS !
Picture is wrong. Gray Fox's mision was Intrude 312.
it's the worst dialogue of the series. Localization and Direction fail. But that's fine, because I enjoyed the twist, the action is good, the cutscenes are well made.
My biggest problem, is that Kojima's ego punches right through the franchise with this installment. We rescue Kojima, once again, for the third time. Really man? really?
I would have liked a respectful departure for Hayter. At least have him as a soldier we could Fulton Recovery... Iraqouis Pliskin soldier, or something like that. The guy was Snake since the Solid franchise. I don't hate Kiefer, i think for this game, it makes sense to have him over David, but for fuck's sake man, curb your ego just a little bit.
Eh?
Solid Snake's mission to infiltrate was N313.
Maybe he is hidden in the game somewhere to be found, who knows maybe some voice files hidden![]()

Don't get me started on Psychology bud. Narcissism is a cancer... and it can get in the way a lot of times. I really don't consider Kojima a "genius" due to his extensive reliance on Deus Ex Machina - like FoxDie, Nanomachines, Cyborgs, and special Parasites... a real genius doesn't need to rely on a shallow explanations to word away the sci-fi elements of their writing. If he wanted to explain it away, he could have easily tried to give better explanations for what he writes. His themes are awesome, a lot of times they hit the mark at least in their delivery... but the lead up usually feels contrived.
Kiefer's not even trying. So freaking boring.

Pic is wrong. He put Intrude 313 for both missions.![]()
Pythonselkan was right all belong :3
Yeah edited.
Remembering your original reaction to the twist, has your opinion at all changed? For better or for worse?
Kiefer's not even trying. So freaking boring.
Deeply disappointed that this is how the franchise ends, to be honest....
If you define "trying" has hamming it up, then sure. His acting is fine here. Imagine for a moment you're not watching a cutscene from a video game series which features garbage anime tier performances. Close your eyes and imagine you're watching a movie featuring people who know how to talk without putting strange inflections on everything.

Exactly. He has no place in Metal Gear. He just sounds off compared to the rest of the characters and the ridiculous situations. Kiefer sounds out of place.
Oh please. Its a phoned in performance. Its not terrible but you can tell hes done this in a booth and its just no his forte.
Guys, I don't know why.
What purpose does this twist serve?
That's fair.
I keep going back and forth on liking and hating it. A full on Big Boss/Zero war would have been great..
That's not true. Maybe in other MGS games, but Kojima is putting on the most serious face he can manage with this game. Ocelot got the same treatment with Troy Baker voicing him.
Kiefer is delivering the lines given to him in the manner in which he was told. He did the best he could with the script Kojima-sama put together.
Apart from all of the philosophical implications that the destruction of the Big Boss mythos brings with it, a lot of people seem to not yet have realized that this also automatically places Solid Snake back on the pedestal as the real hero of the franchise.
- He was the original hero of the series by being in the first Metal Gear game and killing Big Boss.
- Then his power got diminished somewhat by being made an inferior clone of the guy he killed.
- Then he get diminished even more when Kojima decided to make the series more about Big Boss.
With the twist of TPP, Kojima breaks down the super legendary status Big Boss has achieved, which consequently makes everything Solid Snake did even more fucking impressive:
- He beat not one, but two Big Bosses.
- He managed to do more impressive shit than either of the Big Bosses, despite having the OG Big Boss' recessive genes.
- He ends up fulfilling the Boss' true goal by leaving the world alone after destroying The Patriots, Ocelot and both Big Bosses, all of which have created perverted versions of her goal.
Everyone seems to moan about the twist diminishing Big Boss, but they're so angry that they're not even seeing how much power this gives back to the REAL first Snake: Solid Snake.
Bless you, Kojima.
What purpose does this twist serve?
Before I was a Big Boss guy but after what MGSV reveals about him I've switched fully into Solid Snake camp. The one man who never became a hypocrite or got corrupted, just let everything be.

EDIT- What's your beef with it Alien?
What does Hayter's performance and the direction he was given have to do with anything, m8? Kojima didn't want him for this game. He did his job in 1 til PW, but I don't think he'd have fit the bill here.Just like Hayter did.
Well we can disagree, but you yourself seem to be giving him a pass cause hes delivering it as hes told. Hes an actor, he has to put his own performance in there as well as follow direction.
