All the old quests are in the kiosk labeled abandoned quests for my main. It's to the right of zavala in the tower.

So I stopped playing before the first expansion. I loved the gun play but there was just no content to enjoy if you didn't have time to raid. Even though I was disappointed that we didn't get the game that leaked in that USB drive so many years ago, I even enjoyed the story and world (Despite the lack of space knights killing giant frogs).
So, out of the blue and knowing nothing about the expansion except that they "fixed everything" I've bought the legendary pack and dug in today with my brother, Pons here on gaf. What a revelation. It's so different and sensible now. When I went I hit the level cap many months ago it was with great difficulty trying to get what little Lighted gear I could without raiding. Today within three hours of good times just doing dumb bullshit with friends I hit the current level cap.
After such a long period of not playing I am a bit confused as to where to start the expansion quests, but I'm enjoying just sort of bumbling into new story bits.
My main question is where the fuck is the story mission of the day and daily strike? All I see now is like the vanguard strike list and the other one with all the modifiers. Where are these kiosks everyone is mentioning? Is there some primer for morons like me who stepped out after launch and before expansions?
Overall I'm impressed and surprised they got their claws into me again. This update is worlds apart from vanilla Destiny, so kudos to Bungie.

The dailies and regular vanguard playlists will be back next week went TTK unlocks. Basically it's barebones right now because of TTK and his update was to get ready for it .
The kiosks for emblems, shaders, ships and exotic blue prints are located at various locations in he tower.
Don't know if this was posted but the info will be revealed at 10am PDT for what's in the Red Bull Mission. Looks like a Sparrow is part of it :0

Someone at Bungie had a dream that players could live in a world where Field Scout wasn't that useful of a perk, and by god, they made that dream a reality. You could almost admire them if it wasn't for the fact that they're clearly a puppy-kicking, warlock-playing bad person.

This annoyed me the other day because I use The Devil You Know a lot. It used to have 13 rounds with perk and now it's 10 with the perk or without.
I agree with people talking about the guns being less fun. don't downgrade good guns upgrade the shitty ones.

As I said before, I just leveled up a Titan from 4 to 20 yesterday, never ran out of anyhting to do and still have quests to do in story mode + expasions. Which by the way, are included into the normal story flow, as in, they are mixed up with the normal story quests from the early levels, so the experience kinda feels more complete now.
How would you suggest I level up my subclasses? Its the worst part for me.
I'm leveling up striker first since I play solo most of the time with the Titan. I already have the bubble in the defender tree though.

I'm doing that, I just leveled up defender for the bubble and stopped there. Then Went to striker. I'm halfway through striker tree now.
Do you have a source for that? I’ve bought it on my US account to play on my UK one and the suros pack hasn’t showed up, leading me to the same conclusion.

You make some good points, but I have to disagree with this.
Pre-nerf Black Hammer is pretty much the best (non-Gjallarhorn) weapon to use against Hallowed Ogres, Knights, Wizards and Ir Yut. It makes parts of Crota's End a breeze like virtually no other weapon. Also, with Ir Yut, just wait till she starts her song before melting her.
Phogoth is another good one, he's an easy stagger lock with black hammer.
Post-nerf, I think it will be mostly a dust collector, unfortunately.

Because you can't use a dlc that you bought from an account with a different region.
It has been this way since ps3.
Ive been playing for a year on my UK account with the Digital Guardian Edition I bought on my US one.
If the soundfiles are still in the download it would be cool if Bungie allowed us to switch the soundtrack back to the old one in the menus etc. or if they rotate it.
Also new players never get to experience the superior old music. It would be cool if they switched the soundtrack to the more menacing new one as soon as newbies qualified for the TTK content.

Yes you can, i have always bought games and dlc from USA store and play them on my euroaccount.
Wait until next tuesday, the pack shows an unlock date for me atleast. Should be available for all users then.

Yeh i got mixed up, the game region have to match the dlc region and that's it.
In this case i cant think of any solution beside maybe restore license from the setting page?

Really debating picking up the disc version again. Played it to death when it first came out, until the DLC hit and refused to have my pants taken down for such little content. They are now pricing the new disc with the old DLC and TTK for less than TTK on it's own... Should I get back in GAF?

No it hasn't. And i think it only shows up early to that account that bought it. As you see in your Destiny addons page the Suros pack has an unlock date too. I have faith it will be available for all users on the same PS4 then.

In about 20 minutes Mayhem Clash goes live in Crucible. Excited to try this out. Still on a plight to gather up $40 for TTK on the 15th (poor college student and what have you)

After another evening with destiny I'm back with more beginner questions:
-I did the devil's lair, I enjoyed it, is there any point in running it again in term of rewards?
-After killing the final boss the timer to end the mission started and when there was about 5 seconds left I noticed a loot box in a corner, couldn't get it in time! Is there always a 'hidden' box after a boss? Is there a way to know where to find them?
I won't have any time to play until Monday now, it'll be tough.

Was getting a little concerned there as I've got US digital Destiny, but everything is run off my UK account. If TTK was going to limit the DLC to the US account, may have irritated me enough to drop the game rather than start over. So was DLC sharing across accounts on the same console something FFXIV Heavensward blocked? If so, that's downright nasty.
Even if this was the case, I cant see a reason for starting over. Your characters are tied to your UK PSN account, a simply purchase of a UK copy and youll be where you left off.

This has probably been asked to death but if I buy the TTK legendary edition on the xbox store. Will I be able to download the vanilla stuff before Tuesday?

Yes, it's like that on the PSN so should be the same on xbox.
Yes, everyone runs the same gameclient, the new content will unlock on tuesday.

Yes, there is a golden chest on the bottom right of the fight.
Go on youtube and look up "destiny, golden chest, earth' to see all 5 locations, when you open up the 5th one, you will get a slightly upgraded sparrow.
You should be able to order a legendary weapon from him on Tuesday which he will deliver on Wednesday.

Is there a full list of all the Year 1 -> Year 2 exotic armor pieces?
If you want to, sure why not?
I can not 100% guarantee that he will offer the legendary weapons on Tuesday though.

Actually the regular vanguard playlists are gone as of TTK I believe. There's just Legacy and whatever they're calling the TTK Heroic Playlist, which is taking the place of a weekly heroic strike. You can also string together strikes on that playlist for loot bonuses.
Yeah you can. I sold my disc copy and did exactly that.
