Americans thinking the US is the world.

It's a global market and the culture I consume is from all around the world. I could easily live without American culture as others would increase culture export in the vacuum.

Your culture export is so high just simply due to your size (economic) and your reach (imperialism).

The key thing though is I am not envy of America. In fact, the opposite, I feel bad for most Americans that they don't get to experience the progress that the rest of the modern world is going through in things like healthcare, income equality, social acceptance, etc.

Plus statistically, my country is the most admired in the world, so I'm happy. Oh, and I think about it because I care about the global community.

Top 20 Most Admired Countries in the World

1) Canada
2) Norway
3) Sweden
4) Switzerland
5) Australia
6) Finland
7) New Zealand
8) Denmark
9) Netherlands
10) Belgium
11) Ireland
12) Austria
13) UK
14) Italy
15) Germany
16) Japan
17) Spain
18) Portugal
19) France
20) Singapore

Just stupid when they ask what stereotypes does your country have about America ? Why not just ask them what they think about America ? that would be better because come on when you ask about stereotypes then what's the point since stereotypes are always the same

I'm holding 2 pizza slices in my hands right now. Someone should post a pic of a clock with the numbers replaced by slices of pizza. Then people can ask "What time is it in America?"

It would have been better if you just quoted his name. He's the biggest Canadian homer around here.

I'm a progressive modern social democratic country homer.

I'm envious of the Scandinavian countries. I wish Canada was more like Sweden.

US is a detriment to us now. I am in favour of increasing our trade with Asia much more then the US. The more detached we can become, the better. Until your country gets it's act together.

You had to have known you would get angry replies for this, lol

But why? It's an obvious joke post. I'm actually glad he did post it because it's more telling of the people replying to it. I did not expect it to get any heat at all, really.

It's amazing that people don't realize 95% of this stuff is sarcasm.

I'm starting to really believe they don't even care about that fact. Similar to how we don't care about them.

*nods*

I skimmed through part of the video in the OP. Honestly I don't care what other countries think at all.

This is why.

Unfortunate thing about Americans being ignorant to the global community, is they don't understand what they don't have and how bad it's getting in America, because they only have their own country to compare to.

When was the last time you were in Sweden?

One day when things are really bad, I hope you wake up to the global community. I mean your best presidential candidate uses the Scandinavian social democratic countries as inspiration on what to change. You should all be like Bernie Sanders. Instead a lot of Americans are like Trump.

:lol Dat delicious salt though. And I'd worry about electing someone who doesn't run your economy into the shitter than professing how much you hate the US and who you'd rather trade with.

This really doesn't help anything when you make unintelligent posts and decide to bold and underline the unintelligent parts. Like you're doing all the work for us.

lol

Getting all bent out of shape over internet posters who frequently post America fuck yeah out of sarcasm.

We all know there are issues. Just as there are issues in every country in the world.

Most "America, fuck yeah!" posts are sarcasm on this forum, and most of the time they are responded to with posts like you see in this thread. I guess if you deal with enough people who really think that way, it gets grating.

Tokyo, Shanghai & Dubai are my bros.

If I were asked the same about other countries I don't know what I'd say, other then I'd love to visit some day.

If I were to impart something to other countries is the sheer size of America. People like to do 1:1 comparisons with our country to theirs but they fail to realize just how gigantic this country is. It's hard for even Americans to describe ourselves because we're so segmented into different regions. I've met so many foreign students that are surprised to learn how long it would take to drive to certain places.

You're real smug for essentially being a mild mannered French-American.

Ok? Vast majority who post it aren't even American so maybe it would make more sense to take out on your anger on them but that makes too much sense... Blindly hate away!

Tabris puts so much effort into justifying his claim that Canada is #1.

It's adorable.

You should seem him talk about the Canucks. :lol
