Bloodborne has more taboo themes than MGSV.
Oh, I've seen the Mission 51 Phantom footage - I have the CE.
I thought it was something else judging by the way it was described.
So what all was cut from this game? It seems like the story missions such as "A Quiet Exit" and all the others that were relegated to the Side Ops Category and renamed were initially Main Ops and would have fit into the 61 main ops/5 chapter format of the leaked list.
Why the change and the moving around of the main story missions?
Why cut Mission 51? it wasn't offensive in any way - just like the cut scene of the soldier training the kids - it is now a real-time scene when you do one of the Total Stealth end-game missions. You can see 5 or so children being instructed on how to use their guns by a soldier.
I wonder if any of this will be DLC or Game Of The Year Edition additions?

Even Unholy Heights has more taboo themes. TPP barely has any themes to speak of.
People who've done all side tasks; How the hell do you hit the flying boy?

Aim up when sally tries to jump on you?
Wait, what? What side op is this?

The Phantom Pain is the first game to deal with the extremely taboo theme of overly long repetitive introduction credits.
The only person who should be awarded the title of BB is Kaz, the man lost everything from limbs, brothers in arms and BB his friend who quietly said "fuck this I'm out" and lied to him. Such a scumbag move.. I mean shit i dont blame him for being all paranoid throughout the game... I'm half serious.
How hard was it to just have a post-traumatic and injured Big Boss with memory loss as Venom Snake? A man with a fractured mind whose only motivation is the fleeting memory of his men being slaughtered making him hellbent on revenge is the perfect foundation for "becoming a demon." By the time he regained his memories there'd be no going back because his experiences during the game, things he wouldn't normally do, would've fundamentally changed his worldview and changed him as a person.
But no, magic.
It's one of the mission tasks in Mission 20, not a side op.
It's the perfect set-up, wasted.
Dammit Kojima!

^^^^^ I think Kojima just straight up regrets making Zero into one of the main villains of the series so he tries to retcon it as much as possible.
Ohhhh, side tasks. Mah bad.
Actually decided I'm not platinuming it this weekend because of them. Got too dull trying to complete them tasks although I love driving around in free roam still
Mother of god no

Am I tripping but was there side ops for saving more child soldiers in Chapter 1? I have a weird memory of Miller talking something about that but I postponed it since I didn't have fulton developed for them yet.
Didn't see anything like it marked in Chapter 2. I maybe mixing some random dialog with side ops in my head.
If Skull Face hates English why does he speak it all the time?
It is, I've triple checked, Eli's boat is in the background. It is the first mission in Africa where you go through the the village, you can see the child soldiers there.
This one and the one where Snake is screaming in the burned out village stand out to me as ones I remember from trailers but didn't see in the game. There's also the one where some guy with a bag over his head is getting messed with in Camp Omega.

Can't remember any side op, but there was definitely a side task in the first Africa mission for saving child soldiers.
This is exactly what I pictured in my head pre-release.Probably reaching, but i'm thinking the infamous "taboo" elements Kojima talk shit about before release got outright cut.
Maybe in that burnt out village moment, you killed civilians and even child soldiers, and in that camp Omega Mission you would've seen some nasty stuff, or had to do some.
So, did I understand correctly?
Code Talker has the same parasite as The End, and most of the parasite strains were part of the Cobra Unit?
because he's been infected with every other strain of the vocal cords parasites

The setup wasn't as perfect, because the scene in GZ didn't have that much an impact.
A lot of people (most, i'd say) didn't even play PW, so they don't have any attachment to MotherBase.
So for those people (me included) the end scene of GZ was like "oh ok, they destroyed our base of operations, that sucks", not something you'd go on a demon descent over.
Having an event like GZ's relegated to a short thrown together demo was the first mistake, in my opinion.

It's the lingua franca
