Well I wasn't specifically blaming Sony. I just don't understand why time zones are such a hard concepts for gaming companies to work around. Especially with digital releases..
Its changes and additional content are vast enough to be treated as a new release, hence the OT in gaming and the original community OT running
This isn't an add-on map pack.. It's an Expansion..
Because it deserves one, it's a pretty big change to the game.

This has probably already been asked, but I have The Legendary Edition ready to buy on Amazon and I need an answer before I use this credit. If I own the three expansions on PS3, will I own the PS4 versions, too, or will I have to buy them again after I get to current gen? I don't plan to buy a PS4 until early December, after the semester is over, and I'd like to play this now, but I don't mind waiting a couple months if it means I have to buy the content again.

Your DLC content and stats carry over. You'll need the base game for the PS4 though.
Yeah it's been that way for a week. They completely replaced the old client, I mean it is effectively a new game, see you guys tomorrow. Sleep, work, then Wednesday off....

I'm pretty sure that promotion of ps3 to ps4 ended a few months ago. May want to contact Sony directly and ask. They have a chat option on their site.

Had a Titan and Hunter back in the day. Needed them to get the Platinum Trophy, which I snagged back in March. In the vanilla days, I was one of those mythical Forever 29s. Killed the Titan and Hunter in order to to fill the slots with dupe warlocks. By the time TDB hit, I was tripling up on all weekly activities and got my crew up to 32, and then 34, posthaste.
With TTK though, there's no need for such drastic measures.
And some of the new trophies require having one of each class again.
FML.

The post master robot will have it for you from the start. This is to allow newcomers to play the new stuff right away. Remember everyone will have only one and it is a one time use.

fusion rifles were always like that if you were half decent with them, nothing new about it. the specific one the gunsmith had you testing had a terrible charge time and i didn't like the spread neither

Thanks. I'm just hoping I can at least own the PS4 version of The Taken King. I'm on chat now seeing if I can buy it today or just wait until Black Friday and pick up Dark Souls 2: SOTFS instead.
Because one of the biggest releases of the year is not going to get buried in a Community thread, silly. (Or more like, 12 of them knowing DestinyGAF.)
Start the downloads/updates before you go to work if you don't have them already. They are huge.

Exactly its not just an expansion for some random game.
This release stands toe to toe with the release of any new game. Its a huge deal in the industry. I wish we could get real sales figures since digital won't be tracked. It will be multiple millions in the 1st month

Thought I was done with the game, I got my hawkmoon, I didn't need to chase the carrot anymore as I got the best prize. but all my friends are getting taken king and I'm taking my sweet time with metal gear so much that I'll take any excuse to push playing it longer.

I personally found that fusion rifle to be unreliable and far from a OHK weapon, not to mention it suffers hard from the spread nerfs.
Shotguns are the new shotguns. Nothing has really changed in that world except the blink nerf.
