Accidentally stumbled into a method of save scumming to reroll the perk on a legendary drop so I reloaded a couple times and got meself an infinite ammo hunting rifle!
Good to hear. I've only found three, but I'll be exploring more this week to find others. I just want a shack where I can make stuff.
Not being harsh at all, jut honest, its clear what Bethesda's strengths and weaknesses are yet every single page has purist patting themselves on the back restating the obvious ad nauseum. I loved the dialogue system in the older games but Bethesda's chasing that bioware money.. sucks sure, but I've had 34 plus hours of solid gameplay to get over it.Man, why so harsh? Most people bemoaning the lost RPG mechanics of the past are also saying "This is still a good game". It would be great if Bethesda could match it's world-building with the mechanics and writing of someone like Obsidian but that doesn't mean Fallout 4 isn't a great game in it's own right.

I waited till he overheated thrn killed him as his fusion core was exposed. He never exploded for me.I'm doing Old Guns and am in the tunnels andhaving a lot of trouble killing Sarge. Well not killing him. Killing him is easy. My problem is that I keep dying when he explodes. How far do I need to get back?
Fair enough/ well put.Yea, honestly I'm not going to cry over a dialog system that would likely contain badly written canned replies anyway. Anyway, my point is that most of the purists also dig the game so it's all good. A little bit of lamentation on what could have been ain't going to stop me from RPing Crazy Wasteland Wanderer.
Hang on
molecular level is when I first get to the institute right? I accepted joining them and have been told to meet everyone. I'd rather not join them and ruin my ending.
I don't think I've seen mass fusion ?
Molecular Level iswhich depending on which faction you chose to do that task can lock you out of certain trophies but it does not lock you out of finishing the game by allying with that faction later.building the relay
Mass Fusion iswhich forces you to go directly against a specific faction. It is the first point of no return as far as endings go with a specific faction. Where you are is OKafter Institutionalized, Synth Relay, and Battle of Bunker Hill, you can still side with other factions. You can basically rescind your allegiance by just not doing more missions for them.
You guys who wear Power Armor all the time; do you fast travel?
It seems like you'd run out of Fusion Cores if you walked everywhere.
I've uncovered most of the top half of the map and I've only found about 15-20 cores.
Anyone else unable to bring dogmeat with them? It bothers me so much to hear him cry and see him hurt. Its just really tough to see. Loving this game though, wish I could leave work and play all day!
Thanks![]()
Fast travel doesn't seem to drain the fusion cores at all.
How viable is always wearing power armor. It seems cores are purely limited
Also how do you make gates?

Guys building a building is pissing me off to no end.
So floors can only be wood. I spent not to much time laying it down. Than I wanted to use metal walls. Well I made the mistake of truing to do it from one end to the next. Found it should do the corners first than fill in the rest.
Got that done plus a door in. Now trying to make a second floor type thing on one side that week have a balcony to shoot from. Stairs are only wood so I chose it. But it is taller then the walls I laid down.
I have up at this point.
Also how do you make gates? What is a good defense layout?
Cool, but what I was really asking was does wearing Power Armor all the time mean you HAVE to fast travel? Because I like to wander the wasteland exploring but that seems dumb to do in Power Armor because I only have 20 cores.
Exactly what I want to know. All people every say is "There are a ton of Fusion Cores" Well, I've been playing for 30 hours and I've only found about 20 cores.
Does anyone have a link to a gallery of cool settlements that have been built so far?
No level cap but you will never unlock everything.
Depends on how far you are into the story. I have 40 and I've only depleted one core so far and I haven't stolen any from the Brotherhood of Steal or vendors. High Hacking gets you into a lot of rooms with Fusion Cores. But also once you get to the mission after Molecular Level there are a lot laying around in the building. Your 20 will last you a very long time and long enough to start collecting more.
On that note, I actually found a weapon off a Power Armor enemy that uses Fusion Cores as ammo, going to try it out tonight.

Thanks for the replies everyone.
Why wouldn't we unlock everything though? If you put in the time, surely this is possible if there's no level cap?
There was a sanctuary I saw that had a hippie robot, when I cleared the place and settlers moved in the robot vanished? Is that suppose to happen?
Man the Curtain Call quest is janky as fuck.
Do you have that scrounger perk. Wouldn't that help with cores?
I've only completed 1 main story mission so maybe that's my problem but I've cleared out a TON of ares along the top of half of the map. I find them every once and a while in basements, but not often. If vendors sell them, maybe the best thing to do would be to figure out how to get a ton of money and just keep buying them since I assume vendors will restock.
Does fast traveling while in Power Armor drain your cores at all?
Not that I noticed. Pretty sure it doesntDoes fast traveling while in Power Armor drain your cores at all?
Well the higher you level the slower it takes to level up. So when you are over 50 you will need a lot of exp to level up. There are a lot of perks too. 10 i think per special 7 specials = 70 + most have 3 or 4 ranks. I guess in theory you could...
There's a terminal linked to him in the barn in the center of the area. It does things to him, did you mess with it?
The game actually says in the loading screen that the further south you go the more difficult it gets. Start exploring down there and you'll run into Deathclaws, Mirelurk Hunters, Radscorpions, and you'll be wishing you had that Power Armor (;
But progressing the story helps, there's a lot of containers that are lootable that have Fusion Cores in them for example when you start working for the Brotherhood of Steel.

I think the main reason I want to start wearing Power Armor more is because it looks fun and would give extra protection. Having to get out to Hack computers or Pick Locks is kind of a pain, though.

Only for certain computers do you have to. The ones where there's a chair in front of them.
I haven't come across a lock I can't pick in power armor.
Will I ever replace my sledgehammer? Probably not.
