well we finally have another clue, we can start putting it in everywhere and seeing where it leads
You said this about last year too![]()
Valve don't do this to us if it's nothing to do with Half-Life. I can't take it any more. It's been more than 8 years since Episode Two!
That Half-Life 3 connection seems like a pretty big fucking stretch. "The candy canes look like crowbars". They look like candy canes always have.
The Arctic thing is the only close association and even that's a bit of a stretch considering the comic's theme is Christmas/Santa/Elves, and thus thematically sensible to place in the Arctic.
Possible ARG reveal spoiler:
1. Go to Ikaruga's Steam store page in Firefox/Chrome.
2. Type "search" and press enter. You don't need to type it into a box.
3. In the dialogue that pops up, type "1v7531" then click OK.
4. You now have the secret Red Herring ARG? badge.

What does ARG stand for?
What about the Half Life logo?
What does ARG stand for?
I'm pretty sure VALVe always puts a Lambda logo hidden in the background in almost every sale.
I remember that 2013's Winter Sale had more than one, and it turned out to be nothing.

But a crowbar as well?
But it wasn't combined with an ARG
True, but those sales didn't had an actual ARG attached to them.
Guys, don't do this to yourselves!
