As crazy as this all is, I am completely stunned that there is any chance in the world that Gawker could win this case. That would be a terrible precedent, and I hope that Hulk Hogan prevails and crushes those morons. This goes far beyond just Hulk Hogan and whatever it is you think of him as a person.

I'm not sure on the timeline, but did Gawker decide to fight this prior to 50 Cent's ruling? Before that, I could kinda imagine why you'd want to try your luck, but since then it's pretty clear what the courts think of this type of stuff.
You've got to hand it to gawker. It takes some real effort to look worse in court than your opponent who used the N-word repeatedly.

Partially. Everyone I've heard talk about him regard him as a no-talent parasite who just stuck close to hogan for paydays. But it was more his tendency to throw his weight around back when he was Hogan's "guy" in 80's wwf & in wcw that really annoyed people.

Those quotes are something. I know that daulerio pretty much has to take those positions, but I can't imagine a jury is going to look to favorably upon how cavalier gawker has been over such things.
