If the trailers are anything to go by, I think DCCU movie #2 ends with a big superhero team up
The big team up between 3 people?

Yes he's seen it. He says it's a legit good movie. He gives a review in the DC Cinematic thread.

You know this ain't true.
Large numbers of fans took quite awhile to arrive at the current narrative. There is no shortage of published autopsy on the phenomenon, even. MULTIPLE books documenting the arc of grief following a Star Wars movie not being very good.
When is the embargo lifted?
I'll just give one example of why I like Keaton's Bruce a little better than Bale's. Look at the scene where Bruce first tries to tell Vicki that he's Batman. Bruce straight up struggles to let the words "I'm Batman" come out of his mouth because that's a fucking huge bombshell to drop and it leaves him open emotionally. Ever try telling a secret to someone you care about and suddenly fumble over your words a bit? That made Keaton's Bruce feel a bit more human and in my opinion gave him a little depth because it felt like he was still a conflicted person internally (maybe I'm digging a little deep there, admittedly). .
The big team up between 3 people?
no one ever learns
No. Terrio spent more time with the script.
Stop it, you're raising my expectations and filling me with hope and dreams. There's too much at stake if they get dashed.Goyer only did a very very early draft (which is why he has a credit, typically the writer who completes the first draft is guaranteed a credit). What's on the screen is 90-95% Terrio.
tomorrow
Thanks. I hope I wake up to good news.Tomorrow 6 est.
it had great critical reception and went on to make a billion, what do you mean no one ever learns?

To be fair DC are not even rushing it though. Compare the movie universe line ups:
1) Iron Man
2) Incredible Hulk
3) Iron Man 2
4) Thor
5) Captain America
**Avengers**
1) Man of Steel
2) Batman V Superman
3) Suicide Sqaud
4) Wonder Woman
**Justice League: Part 1**
1 film less in DC universe in build up to team up.

Pretty sure that was a play on the rest of the thread, lol.
6PM EST. Not AM. They forgot to specify.
Thanks. I hope I wake up to good news.
Arent most early impressions generally positive? Even for shit movies?
Basically, Im still skeptical.
I suppose team up was the wrong way to describe it, what i meant was, most of the DC movie lineup is being built in this film, heroes appearing include: Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Aquaman, Cyborg and rumoured Green Lantern.
Where each hero got introduced in their own film by Marvel, it feels like DC is rushing them into this film just to get a similar type of movie-verse going.
And while i don't like the approach they're taking, i still want it to work, in the hopes we get decent adaptations of DC heroes other than Batman or Superman.
Max Landis full of himself. More at 11.

He becomes a lot better if you erase Lex Luthor from your mind and assume that he's playing the true villain of the movie: Max Landis.
So Max Landis was angry that Superman allowed his city to be destroyed, and that pushed him into becoming the villain? Sounds legit.
A movie making money and being well received doesn't mean it isn't a flawed experience and worth of either.
My point anyhow was that every thread mentions the last film that had good early impressions and some folks keep forgetting that you can't rely on this stuff for decent, objective impressions.

The only true impression you can rely on are your own two eyes. You can say this about any movie, especially comic book films (Ultron in particular).
Are you going to write a book about TFA
NOPE!
It's been suggested I pitch a book about the history of Star Wars fandom online, and how it more or less grew the current entertainment industry blogosphere as we know it. But that's a ton of work and I'd have to talk to a lot of really fucking unpleasant people, who also happen to be the only likely audience for said book.

Why in the world are people hoping this movie is a shitpile? I'll never understand movie-GAFs ultra high standard of expectations when it comes to movies in general.
We live in a time where Deadpool actually happened and the MCU has 3 movies a year that are financially successful. Rocket Racoon is a character that is popular. Civil War is happening. Thanos is about to wreck shit.
Superman is back and now we get Batman vs Superman on the big screen. Suicide Squad and Doctor Strange are coming soon. This is literally the best time to be alive for comic fans in the history of ever. I'm a Marvel guy, but I want to see this and I hope it's good and I want it to be successful because Wonder Woman and Justice League are going to happen.
Lighten up and take a step back and enjoy it while it lasts, because like everything else, it will be over before we know what we really had. Then we'll be complaining that they don't do comic book movies anymore like they did in the glory years.
Get over it an just let yourself turn off the world and enjoy it for what it is.
100% with you. What a year for CBMs! Unfortunately it's an either or with many people. That and some people have an irrational hatred towards Snyder. Why in the world are people hoping this movie is a shitpile? I think Bale's Bruce Wayne in TDK is pretty underrated.
It was dirt easy. Watch them give out free swag tonight too again.
The Harvey Dent scene is the way Bruce is listening to Dent the way he smiles and acts, it's all fake from the audience POV but in character of how the real Bruce acts during the dinner scene. Bruce goes through a ton of shit and has massive development through all movies and you see that in every single one. You can see how different he is and how much weight he has carried to being Batman and what it's caused. You also see how much he misses being Batman for the first arc in DKR, how he's more Batman than Bruce. Interesting point to Bruce has always been that he's more Batman than he can ever be Bruce. You can also see how broken he is I thought the chemistry in the second movie as a love interest was good, in the first one on the other hand... :\The Bruce/Alfred scenes in Begins are probably the only solid time I thought Bale's Bruce felt like a real character at all. So if you're going to argue using Bale's performance in Begins then I'll definitely concede to you there, because there he's decently written and has an actual character arc. I think his Bruce sucks in the sequels though. The Rachel/Bruce scenes in Dark Knight are honestly kind of bad (it also didn't help that Bale and Maggie Gyllenhaal had zero chemistry together on screen). I don't remember a single thing about the Bruce/Dent scenes beyond his "I believe in Harvey Dent" scene mostly because I was focusing more on the (way better written) Harvey Dent character.
That made Keaton's Bruce feel a bit more human and in my opinion gave him a little depth because it felt like he was still a conflicted person internally (maybe I'm digging a little deep there, admittedly). Meanwhile, in Batman Begins, Bale has a line all conveniently queued up and ready to go right after Rachel asks Batman what his real name is. (Yes, technically he's Batman and not Bruce in that scene but it's a "Bruce" moment). That didn't really feel natural or convincing to me.
Honestly, I've warmed up to the idea that Affleck could be good in the role but the claims of a new Batman being the "best Batman ever" sound like pretty typical hyperbole for the character. If impressions were praising Affleck, that would be one thing, but the all too commom phrase sounds more like people projecting on a performance that does nothing offensive to ruin the character. In fact, it sounds like more praise for the suit and it's action on screen than the man in it.
Batman looks cool, to be sure, I just can't take that claim at face value.
I'm paying nothing AND seeing it early
I'M SO SPECIALit's dirt easy to see this movie early
Goddamnit Bobby!
I didn't want to be the first dick to point this out, so thank you. first few reviews for almost any anticipated movie always sounds like Kevin Smith hyperbole despite the movie's actual quality.
I do kind of believe the Affleck thing though. I think he's going to do just fine.
I mean it's honestly dirt easy to see a TON of movies early and free!
But I guess being in NYC makes it a ton easier for me to say that
Lets not forget the first reactions to the new Fantastic Four as well.
Not saying that it's going to be the same case here or anything, but it's best not to put too much stock in these early impressions.
